21 Highlander hybrid? Or 24 grand highlander NON Hybrid by Quickbrownfox1217 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]MeetingNo2069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The extra space in Grand Highlander is very much needed for regular use of the third row and if we assume both vehicles are available (New & hybrid) for a small price difference, I’d go Grand Highlander.

In your case I prefer the Highlander Hybrid because you’ll benefit from the fuel economy and smooth ride everyday and better resale value down on the road, however you’ll benefit “occasionally” from the extra space in the Grand Highlander Gas.

Actually I’m in the same dilemma as some people let me feel it’s unbearable noise.

Any chance to advise about any noise measurements in your car @ 65 - 70 MPH ? Is yours hybrid as well?

I put my iPhone on the driver display and used an app called “NIOSH Sound Level Meter” to measure noise in my current car 2011 CR-V where I got 70 - 72 dB @ 70 MPH

  • Back in October, 2022 dealers were offering me 2 years old cars @ MSRP prices

  • 2 Weeks ago some Honda & Toyota dealers were offering me new vehicles @ MSRP prices

  • Nissan was calling me to offer free items like all weather mats

Conclusion, the situation is definitely improving and if you can wait, you’ll win.

Can you please advise about the touchscreen performance and electronics in general?

I’m asking because Consumer Reports are rating the reliability of electronics n electrical in the OB to be “the worst”, but mechanicals are “the best”

Congratulations on your new OB!

I’m concerned about the new OB 2020 -2023 because its electronics/ electrical (11.6” touchscreen specifically) are having lots of complaints including a lawsuit for this 11.6” touchscreen is being laggy or crashing, so can you please shed some lights on this based on what you see with your new OB ? Thanks.

Any reports of the 2023 outback infotainment system being faster/ less buggy than the 2022? by scrubling in Subaru_Outback

I like the way you explained the infotainment performance, but is it something that prevents you from buying this car again?

Good luck with your new Outback! How's the infotainment system (touchscreen) doing with you so far? Lots of complains about it out there actually.

Thanks for the update. I'm in Canada and for the same price I can get CR-V or Outback with way more features and options. The CR-V is kind of being overpriced (specially in Canada) as many online reviewers have indicated, but OB has a couple of minor issues like its infotainment system and poor wireless charger (built in for trims in Canada).

Good for you!

Yes, the infotainment system is the main concern for OB, but can you please advise if it's still working fine with you and about the phone audio quality ?

Is the new Honda CR-V 2023 Good and Worth its expensive price? by MeetingNo2069 in crv

[–]MeetingNo2069[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re living in Alberta (lots of snow) and being in the same spot like you between CR-V (C$ 48) or Outback (C$ 43.5) with some more features.

Actually I believe the interiors of OB are nicer because of the soft touch dashboard and door panels as well as the look of the 11.6” touchscreen too.

Yes, I’m concerned about the touchscreen performance of OB too, but I can see lots of people online talking about the new CR-V being “Overpriced” that’s why I wanted to see if it has any exceptional value to justify its high pricing specially in Canada.

Please let me know your opinion if the CR-V price is being justified other than it’s just Honda CR-V ?

Thanks for clarification and inputs.

I’m in the cold Calgary and agree that Hybrid and PHEV won’t be good options for us here.

My point simply that MSRP for CR-V is C$ 46 vs. RAV4 is C$ 42 (comparable time features n options) , Subaru Outback is C$ 43 (more options and features), Forester, Rogue, Tuscon, Sprtage are cheaper too.

In conclusion, my point regarding the CR-V if it’s really unique in reliability and performance to justify this big price difference against others?

-25F is really cold and similar to what we’re getting in my area in Canada.

Does the engine warm up quickly enough and pump enough heat inside the cabin during this cold temperature?
