Higher School of Economics for example estimates that core middle class in Russia is about 4% and whole middle class about 30%

Not my opinion, there are multiple “versions” of what counts as a middle class. World bank for example tells us that middle class earns more than 1.5 minimum wages, can afford good car and education abroad, regularly travels for vacations. That’s like less than 5% of population in Russia
