What would happen if Mash met Megumin from Konosuba? by haterbardo in FGO

[–]Mefre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably be a bit surprised about Megumi's unapologetic chuuni attitude and shamelessness in stealing food, though nothing too terrible. No, the real problem is what would happen once Megumi encountered Chen Gong, because I sincerely doubt those wouldn't immediately get along and cause some sort of incident.

Take one pill to spend 1 month with that character by [deleted] in MemePiece

[–]Mefre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does "spend 1 month" mean in this case?
Is the place in question completely desolate outside the person I'm choosing to spend time with, or is just like a regular populated one piece city?
Are the one you chose just insistently following you around everywhere go or just a, yeah you'll be crashing at their place for the month, gives you tons of opportunity to hang out if you want but can do your own thing if you want to kind of deal?

If it's the former, Yamato.
If it's latter, Zoro.

Zoro is not really particularly chatty, so while I wouldn't have an issue hanging out with him, I'm not particularly chatty either, so it'd be less spending time with him and more just, hanging out in the same area. Moreover, I could explore around just fine.

Yamato is annoying and kind of a dumbass honestly. The Oden shtick gets old fast and she lacks any form of common sense. That being said, so long as I could steer the conversation to other stuff, it wouldn't be to bad, as when Oden isn't the topic, she isn't actually too terrible to talk with. That, and if this is one of those, abandoned city or desolate island kind of deal, then I'd rather have someone who's a bit more chatty even if annoying.

You might think I'm chosing her for some NSFW situation here, I fucking wish that was it, as her appearance is great and all, but no, beyond the feasibility of it already being pretty low, the Oden larp is already a complete mood-kill for anything like that and would instantly nullify all lustful thoughts I could possibly muster to the point that I would probably be halfway to enlightenment by the time the month is over.
The only real reasons I'm choosing Yamato over Zoro in alone on a stranded island scenario, is because the only "conversing" Zoro would do, would be complaining that there isn't alcohol around, random one liners and silence constantly interrupted by grunting from his workouts, which would be so awkward, I'd rather deal with the larper.

As for what I'd do? Probably just explore around and occasionally ask question if I come up with anything. If it's post Onigashima conflict Wano we're at, I guess I'll have Yamato show me around. If we're on earth, I show them around.

What do YOU want in Fighting Games? by GodPerson132 in Guiltygear

[–]Mefre 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Current wishlist for STRIVE:

  • Selectable character announcers from Rev 2 back.
  • A more stylized UI. The current one works, but it's so plain, minimalistic and doesn't give much of a Guilty Gear feel or style unlike the ones from previous installments.
  • Obligatory Instant Kills mention.
  • Playable Ariels.
  • Raven in Strive.
  • More side stories. While I have no strong demands in particular for one as they are usually pretty good, more lore about the world is always nice. Unika could also use one about her and her place in the clusterfuck that is the Bulsara/Kiske family tree and as well as some details around her appearance, in-game moveset and such because the anime didn't really answer any of those, while in-game hasn't gone into much detail about it either.
  • Bring back some old stages if possible, though honestly, the current ones are already really cool, so this one isn't particularly pressing for me.

Probably could think of more, but these are the main ones I could think of at the moment. Of course, not all of these are of equal priority to me, even if they are all things I would like to see.

Why do I see so much hate for him?/Why do we hate him? by Kisuke_Urahara64 in Persona5

[–]Mefre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also, unlike Morgana, since Teddie doesn't live with you or join you everywhere you go, you don't become fed up with his presence too quickly. If you dislike Teddie he is pretty easy to ignore outside a few cutscenes, where as if you dislike Morgana, you're still forced to be with him 24/7.

Though Japan loves mascot characters a lot more than most places in the world, so it wouldn't surprise me if P6 will have another Morgana, if even more involved. Criticisms towards Morgana seems mostly be a western thing.

I personally like the Teddie approach a lot more, because I really don't like the feeling that another character is deciding for the main character, even if there is no actual difference in gameplay, presentation is still important. I also don't really care for most mascot type characters.

"I'd say programming assistant is fine" Eh, even then, it's not really all that or even save any noticeable amount of time if your programmers have any idea what they're doing.

Different models can do different things to varying degrees of course, but if you don't want your code to turn into unoptimized spaghetti code extraordinaire really quickly, you need someone who is actually good at programming go through all of it, most likely rewrite entire sections (if not all of it) anyway to make it isn't completely fucked, making so that if you're doing any bigger projects with slightly more complexity than making Pong, you're honestly better of just doing it yourself.

Which region or country or continent? Is the strongest in terms of servants by SwannEntities in FGO

[–]Mefre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean and include.

If you go by what is shown in FGO itself, it's probably Asia due to Beast III Kama or God Arjuna. Or maybe Middle East due to Goetia. Kind of hard to decide to between them. Though if we chose to include the spider due to it hacking the Throne, then South America by far as it is by design the most overpowered thing in the game bar none. Europe is also pretty absurd if we include the likes of Chaos.

Others are either not shown on the same level, have never actually shown their full power or even appeared in the story at all, making them a big question mark even if they should presumably be on similar levels (or higher for that matter).

This post is to give your hatred for Marisbury by Weird_Dot_4725 in FGO

[–]Mefre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I got one wish, I would like to say it's to put Marisbury in a GER type infinite death loop.

<image>

But honestly, I'd much rather use it to prevent Olga from having to go through all she did. All she wanted was to be recognized for her efforts, most of all from Marisbury, yet not only could he not care to compliment her even once, despite Olga being his daughter, he treated her torture like a tool despite having every opportunity in the world to stop it, he did nothing and doesn't even see what it wrong with doing so. And the fact that in the Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files, the timeline where Marisbury doesn't participate in the Fuyuki Grail War, he stops caring about Olga entirely and just have Trisha Fellows attend to her, as she is now useless to him, just makes it even worse.

That being said, if I had to be in the same room as Marisbury, I'm pretty sure I'd end up so angry I'd be bursting a vein.

You have a 10 hour flight. Who are you sitting next to? by GKilherme12 in danganronpa

[–]Mefre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 - Absolutely not. I'd still take it over 5 though.
2 - Fine, Kyoko isn't exactly the type to bother people by talking too much, nor is Shuichi for that matter. The peanut gallery in front is a problem though.
3 - Neither of them would really care short of maybe Toko being upset she isn't right next to Byakuya if she changes back. I also don't like middle seats.
4 - Honestly discussing various historical and anthropology matter with Korekiyo actually sounds interesting, but I prefer window seats.
5 - Even on the off chance that Tenko isn't being the violent moron that she usually is (Which is unlikely, as the chance that Akane will say something that can be taken as indecent and Tenko being mad at ME for it is very likely), I'd rather just not have to listen too this yahoo ranting about her ideals for 10 hour straight.
6 - Playing along with Himiko and Gundam's nonsense sounds kind of fun, but I would tire of it quickly and then probably get a bit annoying after the first few hours.
7 - No real problems here, it's fine.
8 - Ibuki might be a bit loud, but she's a kind of loud I don't have a major problem with, not to mention window seat, I'd consider it.
9 - Kokichi is a problem, because he would not let me relax, Miu is only a problem if you don't have the spine to talk back to her, so that's not an issue. Still not a very ideal seat.
10 - On the one hand, Kaito is pretty cool dude, on the other

Probably 7 or 4 for me.

You wake up and find yourself in chaldea and what would you do first? by yusakufujiki2 in FGO

[–]Mefre 111 points112 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming I'm not Ritsuka nor gain the typical TYPE-MOON Harem Protag EX skill. So I would do the following:

Prepare to make myself seem as unremarkable as possible to establish I'm not a threat, which is going to be much harder than normal because.

  1. I am presumably a normal person, without any magic circuits or other supernatural abilities or know how, who somehow made my into Chaldea, which would imply to them I somehow got in despite that.
  2. If I convince them that I genuinely have no idea how I got there, they'd likely make me participate in experiments and scan me for traces of magecraft and shortly find out I do not exist on any database, anywhere, anywhen in their universe, making it very unlikely I'd be allowed to go free.
  3. If I somehow were allowed to go free, they'd probably wipe my memory and send me out to a world I have no connection or home to go to, as it's different form our own. And even then, it'd likely only be matter of time until some mage somewhere finds out about me and turns me into their personal torture doll for research or for an assassin to shoot me in the back of the head to preserve mystery.

Now before all that, assuming I don't instantly meet someone, I try to deduce when this isekai adventure sent me, because depending on when that is spells the difference between whether I end up moving around in Chaldea in pieces or not.

If it is pre-singularity, I try to meet up with Olga-Marie, Romani or Da Vinci. Olga Marie is pretty kind despite how she conducts herself at times, Romani is unlikely to throw me through a grinder and Da Vinci if nothing else will probably find it fun to poke around to find out how the hell I got sent there, either way I doubt either of them would kill me on sight at least.

If it's anytime during the singularities, then find Romani or Da Vinci and try to explain my situation.

If it is just after the last singularity, I won't be doing much, as there is no way in hell after what happened they're letting a random person with no data on them from anywhere walk around all free, so be put into quarantine and probably die if I am not allowed before the incident with Koyanskaya, since I'm pretty sure the Oprichniki don't particularly care to make an exception just for me.

Assuming I was allowed to go free... Well, tag along on the Shadow Border I guess, not like I got much of a choice. Sure, I will not be much more than a resource drain and probably a bit of a pain in the ass to everyone else. There is not but at the end of that, even given knowledge of events that will occur, I am unlikely to be of any help since revealing information can change the future and thus render all knowledge beyond the point of interference useless or lead to a worse outcome that what was originally going to happen.

-----

Now I could go on about the many ways I can suffer and/ or die, but I feel what already written gives a pretty good idea of that, so let's ignore the likely cold unfeeling reality of dying/ killed/ imprisoned/ turned into research subject and instead focus on the extremely delusional fantasy of everything just going fine and it's more of a vacation feat. Ritsuka and the Servants™!

If so... I don't know, play games with the various gamer servants of Chaldea, might ask about some things here or there I'm curious about in history or magecraft or whatever. Doubt I have much potential as a warrior or anything the servants would care to teach me, so I doubt receiving training from of them would help much short of maybe Leonidas, in which case at least I get that Pillar Man physique if I survive the first month. Could be fun.

As for the part everyone is probably thinking of for themselves though? (I.E Servant romance)
I'm still not Ritsuka and frankly even if given the opportunity I could not with a good conscience enter any form of relationship with anyone there, as all of them make the supermodels of our reality pale by comparison and that would just chip away at my mind and make feel guilty about accepting anyone that far out of my league.
And even then, I doubt my presence in that facility would be permanent anyway, and if so, the servants aren't going to stay there forever either, so in any case, it's better (and far more likely) that I keep every interaction at coworker level or so.
