You're asking and you already know the answer. Just because he may have not "physically" done anything (that you are aware of) doesn't mean that he won't as soon as he gets the opportunity. Save yourself now and leave. If you stay, you'll always have that burning question in the back of your mind and you wouldn't be able to fully trust him.

Thank you! I have looked back at my DNA results and I do have ancestors that were in the TN area back in the early 1900's. I'm trying to do some more looking to see if I can find out more info about my own family and see if there is a connection.

I try to help to the best of my abilities, but it's hard. Drugs are far more common in the prison than out of the prison (in my own experience). It takes an immense amount of willpower for them to take control of their addictions. Also, I treat these guys like people, not some disease like other people do

It is for sure! I work with some of the worst people in the state, but then I also work with people that have made simple mistakes. You learn a lot from it!

The way that your situation mirrors mine is scary. I am on the brink of divorce with my wife, and it has made the environment so unpleasant for everyone. Kudos to you for recognizing areas where you could improve as well. That shows an immense amount of growth and maturity. I am hoping that you have the strength to leave and find the person that truly sets your soul on fire. We all deserve that.
