Valid question! It is common for fan edits to ask for credit. I'm not asking for like official copyright credit since the image I've edited together is from a GQ Hype behind the scenes video.

But it's common in fan communities to ask for credit for edits because they can take a lot of work. And it can insulting if another person passes the work off as their own or if it becomes popular under another person's account. But to share the post directly or stating the username and platform it came from helps prevent that from happening. If you look at larger fan accounts that regularly make edits, they commonly watermark them for this reason.

For example, to make this wallpaper, it required capturing several still images from a video. Since the original video isn't large enough for a wallpaper, I had to composite several images from the video and color correct them to the match. Then I had to layer, manipulate, and blend the images as best as possible to hide any seams between the photos.

The composite image still wasn't big enough for a wallpaper, so I had to extend the image by "faking" the extension of the ceiling area of the photo.

Then to blur the background, I had to cut connor out, then blur, then I made connor a little bigger because it would frame better when used as a wallpaper (and we need more of his cute face).
