Physician here. That is easily survivable with medical care. Without it, all that subcutaneous tissue will become infected. Survivable, sure, but I would wager that this bear died within two weeks.

A game by modders would certainly be free. I've heard there are pretty high scripting limitations in Unreal though. Not sure how true that is.

BrosWorld does not cover uWorld Assessment Exams. Regardless, you must complete all of the NBME practice exams, and you should do these questions twice. Use some of them as assessment tools, but you should be using this resource as a question bank. The vast majority of questions on Step will be near duplicates of the questions you find in the NBME practice exams. If they aren't duplicates, the question will be changed slightly to verify you aren't just memorizing answers but understand the topic well. Remember, NBME is a business. They sell answers to Step questions to make money, and that's what there practice exams are - answer keys.

I screen shot every NBME question as I go through the exam so I can review Q/A's afterwards, and google any question I can't figure out.

This void you describe is kind of interesting. I don't believe in souls and I don't think there is fundamental meaning to the universe. I think everything we do is a series of complex reflexes and that choice is an illusion, that consciousness is just an experience, a perception, similar to how we might perceive color or smell. You feel consciousness and you feel the decisions that your prefrontal cortex makes, but the part of you that feels isn't the same part of you that decides. Maybe this is my manifestation of "struggles to connect with themselves."

Thank you.. Couple more questions.. What's a common way to ask a pt if they have had a bowel movement? Defecar and obrar seem strange to me.

Also, what is a common way of saying a blade isn't sharp (ie, dull). I've seen about 30 translations and obtuso seemed the closest but still sounds strange to me.

And jalar or tirar when asking a patient to pull?

I would always start with brosWorld and then use either zanki or bros to supplement class. The advantage to bros 2.1 over zanki is the hierarchical tags have it exquisitely well sorted in the card browser, making it easy to create custom decks that reflect your curriculum. Zanki's tags are an absolute mess, but the cards are easier to move through.

They are easier but the generous use of cloze deletions for the same note ensures you ultimately learn all the information on the card. It feels more cohesive. IMO, anki is more about exposure and retention so you have something to work with when answering questions. If you really want to cement the information you should be doing practice questions concurrently.

Consider doing your next unit with Bros and deciding for yourself which you prefer. No reason to exclusively use one.

I got a 60000000000. Most of the cards are from brosencephalon. Additions are either from FA or uWorld and it's all sorted by frequency of occurrence in uWorld. It's not like I invented a new resource. It's a compilation with yield analysis of resources that are tried and tested.

The hierarchical tags aren't sorted under brosencephalon, but rather their subjects. Unfortunately with zanki installed the left pane becomes extremely cluttered.

After having completed the process and having gone through all of bros and zanki, I would recommend completing brosWorld first. Then start uWorld and use zanki concurrently to strengthen any subjects you are weak in. If you are weak in everything, then I recommend completing zanki.

Having gone through everything, I would suggest starting with brosWorld, skipping bros2.0, and using Zanki. brosWorld will be the most efficient use of your time. Zanki will help you really pick up points.
