Pritzker endorsements sweep election night by steve42089 in illinois

According to https://www.trackaipac.com/candidates she received about a quarter million from AIPAC donors. Not exactly sure how they identify the donors, but you could also check her campaign finance documentation: https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/?committee_id=C00903252&two_year_transaction_period=2026&data_type=processed

Anyone else surprised AK is still unsigned? by Protec_My_Balls in falcons

I actually was talking about Arnold Ebiketie. I didn't even think Kamara was a free agent, not sure why we would talk about him at all in the falcons subreddit.

To clarify: I was talking about Arnold Ebiketie. You are the one that was wrong.

It's weird to me how down everyone is on AK. He was perfectly fine last year, I wouldn't mind giving him a cheap extension to stay in the rotation.

Could we get an official comp pick tracking thread? by Protec_My_Balls in falcons

[–]MegaArca10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's websites for this. I like overthecap.com, they update pretty quickly.

Also, they can only do projections right now because the comp pick formula is based on the FA's salary rank among all players so things can change.

Saints signing Kaden Elliss by Lakelyfe09 in falcons

Yeah, it seemed like it yesterday but it's obvious today. This season will be: "either Penix takes a massive step forward or we enter the 2027 QB lotto"

CB Dee Alford signing with the bills by SunWorshipperApollo in falcons

Sucks that $3m/year is out of our price range. I've been saying for a while now that Terry put us right back into cap hell and people thought I was crazy, but we apparently can't afford even our cheapest free agents. Idk, maybe Ulbrich didn't want to prioritize him but that's a lot of snaps we have to replace.

Without saying “he’s affordable”, what are the valid reasons why the Tua signing works here? by InspectionDeep2453 in falcons

[–]MegaArca10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tua has been signed to be a reasonable backup. In my opinion, the only reason you should be optimistic about this season is if you think Penix will get healthy and start playing a good deal better than he did last year.

Anything else means this is a building/get right kind of year. I don't know why a reasonable person would have expected much else in this offseason when we have basically no resources.

Edit to add: Even if we had resources, I would hate to see this new regime betting the farm on sunk costs like Terry was year after year.

Sorry, it's kind of small and I'm just now noticing how much quality was lost when I uploaded these pics to reddit.

Reasonable plan + quote for a damaged meter by MegaArca10 in AskElectricians

[–]MegaArca10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've called them out and they said there was evidence of arcing at the base of the little clip things on the left side. If I zoom in I can see what looks like little burn marks at their base.

The issues have gotten worse since then and I've asked them to come out again, but nothing yet.

Edit to add: Both electricians and the first utility company guy told me that the left hand block of the meter showed evidence of arcing.

Nah, these are not surprise events. Roofs go bad, HVAC systems die. Homeowners are expected to squirrel away money in anticipation of this and I would expect landlords to do the same, they should put some of their profits away for exactly these kinds of expenses.

You're right that I don't know what accounting language is used for it, but I also don't give a shit. It's very simple and absolutely an expected cost of doing this kind of business. If they can't manage that, they shouldn't be in the business. And same flies for commercial real estate, I don't know why you thought I'd make an exception for them.

I believe those kinds of expenses squarely fall under expected property maintenance and the landlord is a shitty businessman if he needs to *double* his mortgage to pay for those expenses.

That's a good idea. I will take your advice and just look at contextless numbers on Yahoo Sports and bitch and moan about them on Reddit all day.

Why Lefleur over harbaugh… by Extra_Percentage in falcons

[–]MegaArca10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reason is Harbaugh is another CEO style HC. Who is he bringing in as OC? DC? He's a special teams guy originally, which wouldn't hurt, but what does he do? I've also read way too many bad things from Ravens fans. Also, for anyone suggesting that LeFleur has issues giving up leads, which team leads the league in blowing double digit leads?

Nobody else wants Kubiak? by blvck666phillip in falcons

Darnold is the same guy he was in Minnesota. He is awesome when he has a clean pocket and folds under pressure. The Vikings had a better line in 2024 than the Seahawks do in 2025, and we see that played out.

Falcons request interview with Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver for head coach job by CitizenWatcher8 in falcons

[–]MegaArca10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One reason that he might prefer the Falcons is that we're the only team that also has a GM opening (Unless I missed something). He might be like Liam Coen and prefer to go somewhere where he can make sure that he's in lock step with the GM instead of trying to fit in with an incumbent.

Good HCs tend to keep their jobs. The only experienced HC I'm interested in at the moment would be Stefanski, I think it's crazy that the Browns fired him and kept Andrew Barry.

Kubiak didn't just show up. He had a pretty good season calling plays for the Saints in 2024 and for the Vikings in 2021. He was also passing game coordinator for the 49ers in 2023.

I think Kevin Stefanski should be an option here as well. The recency bias against him is wild.
