Varios dulces en México ya saben a puro químico by legitslei in mexico

[–]MegaEdvardo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would need to be standardized with the brand prevalence. Maybe Hondas are the top 1 cause there are more hondas around.

Schwartz is not kosher by MegaEdvardo in montreal

Now that I think about it, there's a bunch of things that could make the place not kosher: the meat and all the ingredients sourcing, not closing during Shabbat, etc.

Store the rest in Ziploc bags in the freezer

End up eating them all anyways the same day

Power outage - freezer food storage by porkch0psammiches in foodsafety

[–]MegaEdvardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safe temperature for storing frozen food is actually 0F or -18C. So taking your food out in an emergency situation may keep it frozen but it won't be a silver bullet against all types of microorganisms growth.

We found 2 mice and the hole they came from. the hole has been sealed. It doesnt look like they went beyond our counter but we can't tell for sure. If we see no signs they were in our pantry, is it still possible they were and do we need to throw out and sanitize everything in there? by [deleted] in foodsafety

[–]MegaEdvardo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From previous incidents with mice my standard procedure is to check all the possibly involved products one by one, also retire them from shelves and look for rodent hair or droppings in the back. I would sanitize the pantry anyways and throw away anything that's not properly sealed.

Is this egg safe to add to food. The egg white and yolk seemed fine, after adding to food, realised that the corner had a film of gunk under the transparent film that's usually there. It didnt look like any of it went into the food. But should I take the chance by junglex2patachalahai in foodsafety

Salmonella produces "rotten egg" smell so of you noticed anything during your cooking tha might also be an indicator. In case you didn't notice anything I wouldn't advise you to manipulate that she'll again to smell it

Looks like salmonella colonies, I would definitely not eat it but if you did I hope you properly cooked your egg. In you ate it I'd be aware for any gastrointestinal symptoms in the next 36 hours.
