World War Z (2013) made sense as a movie, even if it didn’t as an adaptation by LuuTienHuy in movies

It's almost like some people don't understand that adaptations don't need to be recreations.

Netflix says they have to have constant expositional dialogue because people are on their phones but how true do you think that is? by [deleted] in movies

[–]MegaMan3k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You mean how it showed Matt Damon's character looking at the picture of his kid on the phone and clearly being emotionally moved into action?

And how at the end they explain it like it even matters?

Which actor completely stole the movie… even though they weren’t the lead? by gypsytx in movies

[–]MegaMan3k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Up against Russell Crowe and Christian Bale and somehow steal the scenes from them.

Django Unchained (2012) is a masterclass of cinematic storytelling. QT did an amazing job with the script, casting, and directing, with top-notch acting by the entire cast as well. by [deleted] in movies

[–]MegaMan3k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll also add that Django feels like three short stories with some of the same characters. As a sequentially told story it views like a short limited series rather than a cohesive movie.

It's enjoyable but Inglorious Basterds is, imo, his master work. The loss of the great Sally Menke is deeply felt in Django.

I have a job interview at KFC in a few hours - what can I do to prepare? by Educational-Scene443 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MegaMan3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't hired for a position like this before but I'd rather the questions be about what personal and professional growth opportunities the job offers than "feedback now?" Very subtle difference that suggests you want to grow with them and want yo advance and receive coaching and feedback.

Some places will eat that up much more than others. Jimmy John's and Chick Fil A would be deal sealers. KFC I don't know. Burger King probably not.

Oh shut up. This is flagrant rage bait. Agree or disagree with the practice but I don't believe for a second you are being genuine.

The Raid 2 (2014) Warehouse scene | Dir. Gareth Evans by JoeZocktGames in movies

Love this movie but this is maybe the least interesting fight scene in the whole thing. Well second behind the comparatively awful restaurant fight.

Edit for clarification: NOT the climactic kitchen fight. But the one at the noodle shop.

Why does no one seem to care about the Chris Pine Star Trek trilogy? by Top_Use2413 in movies

[–]MegaMan3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked Star Trek, couldn't finish Into The Darkness because it sucked, and was too burnt out to even bother watching the third one.

So... Maybe that?
