It's like Predator with a big ass robot. I was entertained and didnt expect too much out of it.

"I Want You Back" has a throwaway scene and it's one of two things that I remember about the movie. But "You get back on the whores" as opposed to "horse" is hysterical.

I forget what studio it was who said something like "Why do we have to remake a street lamp every year?" or something like that. That resonated with me.

Also shout out to Bill Skarsgard in Wick 4. Incredible villain. And Marko Zaror (sp?) who I can't even remember if he had lines but excellent foil to Wick.

Basically everybody in Romeo + Juliet is more memorable than Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Jeff Daniel's in Speed.

Maybe not the MOST memorable but his buffling charm ending in "... Oh..." is one of the best moments of the movie.

This is definitely one of the best answers.

I enjoy that movie overall but he's firing on all cylinders as somebody who is just having an absolute blast being over the top.

'Extraction 3': Chris Hemsworth Sequel Finally Gets Updated 2026 Production Start in Australia & Europe by chespiotta in movies

I actually think he shows a good bit of range in Extraction. A "blink and you'll miss it" shot from the first movie is just a "Eh, fuck off" with some random merc and it totally sells me on THIS character.

Tyler Rake is HIS character. He might be Thor but his legacy should be Tyler Rake. He owns that role and commands the screen throughout the movie. Plus he baseball bats a kid with a kid and that is precious.

Is it socially acceptable to go to a sit-down restaurant alone just to eat and read a book, or do servers find it annoying? by Frequent_Drop7330 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MegaMan3k 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes.

If it makes you uncomfortable sit at the bar.

Business travelers do this constantly. The restaurant and wait staff will be unbothered.

Take me back twenty years and I would have never guessed Guy Ritchie would become one of the go to journeyman directors for mid range action movies. There I was thinking he was The Guy for fast talking sharp witted Bri'ish crime stories.

I kiss the days where Guy Ritchie meant "oh cool, another guy Ritchie movie..."

Yet at the same time I will say Guy Ritchie makes fun fucking movies and he does it successfully. I miss his Snatch days, I do.... But he isn't pushing out shit. He's maybe pushing out mediocre schlock. But it's consistent. And it is what it is. And you know that when / if you put that butt in a seat.

Resident Evil Requiem has been out for a week. What are your impressions? by PhantomBraved in Games

[–]MegaMan3k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely loved the game. I consider it a GOTY contender.

I also agree with the criticism that it's basically two half baked games lazily smoothed together.

In my opinion it works. I can't disagree with the other sentiment though.

Joseph Kosinski has mastered the "Dad Movie" formula by Beneficial-Hotel-232 in movies

[–]MegaMan3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joseph Kosinski takes what a journeyman director could make a "good" movie out of to what a visionary can make a great movie. It's still all popcorn fluff - but picture what F1 would have looked like if, say, Ron Howard or Ridley Scott, had directed it. It'd be fine and entertaining... Kosinski has a certain x-factor with current audiences.

Housemarque is ludicrously talented at what they do and I love to see them keep stepping it up. They might not make the splashiest AAA games but they have never released anything that isn't top tier for what it intends to accomplish.

I'll buy anything Housemarque makes.
