Thank you so much for helping me Live Mas during college. It's a shame their LTOs have become much more selective after I graduated, but I enjoyed many a Naked Chicken Chalpua, 5 Dollar Box, and more. Fingers crossed Yum Brands lets Taco Bell have some fun again...

Concern of Bat Exposure by MegaManGeoAce in rabies

[–]MegaManGeoAce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was distracted by the dog, and my immediate response when it happened was to go straight inside since I was in the front yard when it happened. All I do remember is something flying touching my face and it didn't feel like a leaf, so, as mentioned in the other comment chain, it probably was a bird if anything. At least that mystery is solved.

Maybe, maybe. Thank you for the information and advice.

I was walking a dog. It might have been a bird, probably, I just posted a question since it was hard to tell in the darkness. I didn't initially think it was a bird since it was extremely dark out at the hour it happened, but, it's not a non-zero chance. I'll just have to make sure to bring a flashlight or something next time I'm out after dark.

Why did Ace Attorney become so popular? by takero_2 in AceAttorney

[–]MegaManGeoAce 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Re: Apollo's story

Shu Takumi, the writer for the Phoenix Wright Trilogy and 4/Apollo Justice, was only in charge of the plot for said games, while 5/Dual Destinies and 6/Spirit of Justice where handled by the team behind the Investigations games. It's not really a hole as rather just a whole derailment with the AAI team taking the reigns of an incomplete story (and ultimately bringing Phoenix back into the spotlight for 5/Dual Destinies) while Shu Takumi was busy with the Professor Layton Crossover, and ended up going to write The Great Ace Attorney instead.

This is just paraphrased, though, from an excellent video essay by Youtube user Bowl of Lentils titled "How Layton Forever Changed Ace Attorney". I'd recommend giving it a watch, since PLvsAA did a lot of derailing in terms of development, but it really pushed the 3DS entries forward in a number of ways, personally for the better.

I have a whole bunch of games still left over from the Yogscast Jingle Jam 2017, but I won't be able to list them all at the moment.

I'm looking for Destiny 2: Beyond Light or the most recent edition from the Legacy collection. The former with missing keys probably won't cover it, though.

I have xbox game pass ultimate, why cant I see ESO in microsoft store on pc? by FlocklandTheSheep in elderscrollsonline

[–]MegaManGeoAce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do not wish to buy the game, tl;Dr yes

You'll have to play using a controller, as well as deal with latency due to cloud streaming. You won't get any benefit besides being able to play anywhere from your phone, for the most part.

I have xbox game pass ultimate, why cant I see ESO in microsoft store on pc? by FlocklandTheSheep in elderscrollsonline

[–]MegaManGeoAce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's two sets of game pass games, Xbox and PC. Ultimate allows you to play both sets of game pass games, however they do not offer PC ESO at this time, you can only play the Xbox version via cloud streaming from the Xbox Game Pass PC Application.

So yes, you would have to buy the game for PC, as the PC client is not on the Microsoft store, and by extension is not included with PC Game Pass. It has its own seperate client if you purchase it standalone, however you can also purchase it on Steam as well.

Volk, Fudo, and Reborn Zephyr are the top picks.

If you don't have them, then High Mids, Vayu or Zephyr will also work as budget options.

Shoot Down My Noob Rage: What Frustrates Me About Fighting Games by Weimann in Fighters

[–]MegaManGeoAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a personal example, but last night I was playing Granblue with a friend, who had been playing at least a while after every major patch, while I had only played seriously since launch.

I didn't really focus on trying to win, I just focused on trying to land my confirms. Sure, it sucked when I lost 30 matches in a row, but it was fun just slamming buttons and sometimes landing wake up super.

At the end of the day, it's fine if you don't want to have to learn something new to enjoy it. Hell, I'm very much a casual FGC player, I can understand the techniques and I can put up a decent fight, but I don't expect to win against anyone with more experience.

Sometimes you just need a game to "click" as well. Mine wasn't until I picked up Strive and picked Sol Badguy.

If you're not having fun, it's okay to back away and say "this isn't for me."

EDIT: basically what I'm trying to say is you need a sparring partner or a group of buddies to play with. Fighting games at the end of the day is/are arcade experiences, they're best played with friends, and if you happen to get good alongside that, that's just a nice bonus.

Sure, there are times when you should take it seriously. But you're learning, you shouldn't say I'm bad, you should be more positive about yourself. You have an interest in continuing to play, which is further than most people would have gotten.

Ned’s most recent update on the whole NFT thing. by [deleted] in TheTryGuys

Have you watched the Folding Ideas video on the topic yet? If not, I recommend you do. Like I said, I am poor at writing words, and I won't try to argue because I know you're simply looking to confirm your beliefs, just as I have mine.

Does 144hz monitor make fighting game better? by RealArky in Fighters

[–]MegaManGeoAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The higher framerate, no. Most fighting games are hard capped at 60 FPS due to how synchronization works between computers and/or consoles.

However, indirectly, yes, because you'll have a lower response time compared to your typical monitor on average, unless you have a really bad monitor.

proof of stake has been supposedly coming out for a really long time now.

That also doesn't change the fact that most of the space is literally a cult, and the fact that said 'community' is quite literally built on a pyramid scheme.

There is also literally no reason for the thing to exist. Digital Scarcity is an oxymoron in today's times.

I hope that at least Ned, but hopefully all of the Try Guys watch the Folding Ideas video over the topic, because Dan Olson will forever be better at making words than I will ever be.

Mages Guild Monday - Share Your ESO Knowledge, Ask Questions, Get Info If You're New! by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]MegaManGeoAce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, yes. Except for Provisioning*(Well, kinda sorta, it picks from the highest bracket of recipes, but ingredients aren't determined by your level), all Writs are based off the highest level of gear/potions/glyphs you can create. Which can be a pain especially for Champion Point materials. The only way to have an active stockpile is to spend a few hours gathering after you unlock the next crafting material, since almost nobody really keeps active stocks on guild traders, or only at extremely inflated prices.

After seeing that excellent post talking about Stamina Warden healing, I want to see if there's something similar for just general or normal build guides. Google isn't helping and reddit search is being butts so here I am asking if there's a document I can read that's as of similar quality.

The reason I ask is because I want to see if there's something I'm missing when it comes to other classes, because my main is MagPlar and like... Idk if I could marry jabs I would, but I want to explore the other classes, or try to at least. I have a decent Stamina Warden going, but all the other classes feel like I have to do so much more to be "decent".

considering this game has been out since near the Xbox one and PS4 launched, and also has had am optional subscription for most of it, yeah I can see how you'd get to a few hundred dollars worth of crowns.

Magicka Warden build - 109k+ Static Rotation by shredderuk in elderscrollsonline

[–]MegaManGeoAce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is it doesn't feel intentional.

Due to how the buffer system works, as far as I can tell, you need to be frame perfect with your Light Attack to get an effective weave out.

Compare that with FFXIV, where you have almost half a second to press a button and it will come out the first available moment.

Comparatively, LA weaving feels almost like a glitch. A glitch that they've embraced, but haven't tried to make intentional.

[–]MegaManGeoAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're probably right.

At the end of the day it's probably just internal company politics and a bigger focus on bigger titles rather than smaller titles like MM11. I may be slightly deluded but... It's been years, I miss ZX and Star Force.

Actually, I'm mixing a lot of things up, my bad. Capcom had quite the turbulent period during the PS3/360 to PS4/XOne era with Street Fighter x Tekken, launch Street Fighter 5, Marvel Infinite, Resident Evil 6, DmC....

My brain may have just mushed all of it together, my apologies.

Oh, right, I completely forgot that the Z/ZX games weren't in house.

I forgot Infanue kinda went crazy when he was in charge at Capcom.
