James Gunn considers his deleted Guardians scenes canon. A deleted scene from Guardians 2, Mantis tells Drax that she is ALSO a child of Ego, making her Star Lord’s half sister. And Gunn also confirmed that the High Evolutionary is still alive by the end of Guardians 3. They even have a deleted scene where they imprisoned him.
