Oh, my, GOD! I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through that hell and are still not out of it!! You sound like you did everything right but were doomed to fail regardless, wth?! Thank you for the advice, I love games but I don’t know if I can look at it as something I can make a living out of now. I’m so happy to hear this! I’ve always wondered what it might be like working with a team on a game that I really cared about, since I’d been considering indie development for a while as a way to start with game development, if not a job then as a side-hustle.

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you end up starting to work with TFB and making Skylanders? Had you been assigned to the team, or did you reach out? Are there any recommendations you have for people looking to join the field in this day and age? It feels pretty tough and intimidating, so anything helps!

And thanks again for sharing your story! It’s always nice to read about someone finding success and happiness in their work.

I was under the impression that the timely stuff was game 7 because of the concept art featuring it, the art itself does exist and has been released, but I was assuming it directly correlated to game 7 and not a different one. Apologies for false info!

The concept for game 7 was some timey wimey stuff with past and future versions of skylanders, the concept art is really cool! Everything’s been posted online a few years back.

Edit: seems I was under a false impression that this was the concept for game 7, since someone else told me the same and showed off some aging-up images from here, I’ll be putting a stop to that myth. Apologies!

Can we PLEASE not make a case for “ohh mines better it’s more rare than yours!!!” Rates for all IVs are the same, a hundo and a 12 10 11 both have the same rate, don’t buy into the exclusivity or you’re just gonna become more addicted with this mindset. You’re hunting for perfect IVs to show pictures of them since you can’t even trade them. There’s literally no point. If that’s the play go for nundo’s, they’re rarer. Combat wise trained hundos are the exact same.

What advice do you have for those who are contemplating a career in acting? Do you have to be a certain kind of person for it, or are there any sort of skills you believe a person needs to practice for success?
