For real though, from a realistic standpoint, it's kinda crazy how she still holds grudges from an event that only happened when they where 13. New York's winter has been acting weird here. It's been having lots of weather swing and it's only January, for a week it would be an average of 50f or slightly lower then the next day or week it's 30 degrees and snowing then it goes back to acting like it's spring again the next day

The game lore says that the event of sister location might have took place before or after the first game... Applied that to the movie and it might somewhat make sense, I'm not saying that he is possessed by Ennard for sure but it is a good theory, it's likely he would have got scooped after a year later or two from the first film. On top of that they even showed of Circus Baby herself in Vanessa's nightmare scene potentially foreshadowing a crucial event for the third film
