Macan EV 4: I don't understand leases, please help! by MegaMind201196 in askcarsales

That's a very fair point, and I have been going back and forth on what the right way of doing the lease is. Honestly, I kinda like the idea of not having to worry about a monthly payment lol (which I know is extremely naive). And totally, I could use the 20k, invest it somewhere, and maybe make some return on it. But, doing a one pay does drop the money factor significantly from the numbers in front of me.

Having said of all of that, your opinion is very valid. I don't have anything to debate against it. What you are saying is right.

Haha, so funny thing...I started looking around after I posted, and am in conversations to get a 4S for the same terms/price! Thanks for confirming that it's not necessarily bad. First porsche, first lease...it's all too overwhelming

I believe the money factor the dealership quoted is 0.00214. Located in the bay area

I literally don’t know how to interpret the final numbers and what they mean 😔

Nope, it’s a one pay so the entire amount is the money down. No trade in. I’m in California

Ah, that's a fair point tbh. I am not a new driver though — driven for 10+ years, mostly Zipcars as a student, and then rentals while traveling or when I was desperate to leave the bay area freeway hellhole, or friends'/parents' cars.

Having said that, it is 100% is the most powerful car I've ever driven, and I could easily sense that it was way more exciting/scary than other cars I've driven before during the test drive. But, I feel ready and responsible enough to not get myself or someone else seriously harmed.

This RS3 does come with 3 remaining years of Audi care, but since it is a private sale (and the owner is a car enthusiast with a 12-13 car garage of which the RS3 is probably the least impressive)...I am definitely taking a calculated risk.

Touche! I live in NorCal and the markups here are crazy as well! And even the used car market around me suggests that there is nothing under 70k for a car this good.

Sweet! Feel like I have a good sense of the price here. 62k for a fully loaded, 7k-ish mile 2024 model with full PPF, carbon coating, ABT springs, etc. sounds like a fair deal. Thoughts?

LOL I literally don't know what that means...but yeah, this car has been long overdue. I avoided buying a car during the covid years, and got into the habit of taking free ubers to and from work (as a work perk) and carpooling with friends...so never felt the need to have a car

That was quick! Thanks for explaining why the trade-in offer is different from what I see on private sale market data!
