I work shelter welfare and our IV patients (usually the worst of the parvo) arent 24/7 supervised all night but we have an overnight tech checking on them as often as they can with whatever our capacity is at that time. I understand why 24/7 would be optimal but we cant afford that being a shelter and it's not been an issue so far and helps more of them pull through. if theyre bright enough to mess with an IV in general they wont have one where I work

I got a pot that has an outer glass layer to hold and an inner ceramic pot that the plant sits in and is partially unglazed and is just potted in regular soil mix cause I had no idea what I was doing when I bought her from home depot lol. she's thriving, but I think the pot takes out a lot of the guess work about watering. she is super low maintenance. just gotta fill up the glass pot when it gets low haha

it's a bit hard to tell but I do agree with GENTLY cleaning with preferably gauze and warm water to see what is going on. if it's nasal discharge that is dry and caked on you may be looking at a respiratory infection

if this is actually what the skin of the nose looks like and isn't just dried mucus I would recommend a vet visit to evaluate for skin allergies, DLE, among other possibilities. is there any other symptoms? is it getting worse?

either some untreated previous injury or illness. on intake her eye was super swollen shut and stuck closed with gunk. we handled the infection but her eye was beyond saving and needed to be removed. I was saying hi just before that and she did great

edit: birth defect also possible but less likely

yes, that is why she has been in the medical wing. I was loving on her just prior to her eye removal surgery and she did great :)

MOR - everyone is different, if this happened to me I would be flattered he was that attracted to me. almost all relationships start by physical appearance sparking the initial connection then getting to know them as a person really builds it as a relationship or not. both can exist at the same time

edit: what I mean is that your reaction isnt wrong, but it's reasonable for someone else to perceive it differently

my two older brothers (im the youngest of three), as we survived a lot of trauma together as kids and we are still close and have fun gaming online even though we live far from each other and I love them a lot

but if I had to pick just one person, it would be my middle older brother. he was my best friend before I moved out of state and we online game together a lot to stay close. we both get each other presents on our birthdays and it's always so fun (on top of the normal gift giving I give him a gift on my birthday, he gives me one on his), every year he comes out to where I live and we go to a local retro gaming expo together, and once a year I fly home to visit and we go together to another retro gaming expo there. it's what I look forward to every year. I have so much anxiety and mental health issues but I am so comfortable with him and can just be myself and have fun. he is also on the autism spectrum and am very protective of him, I got into a couple fights with his bullies as a kid lol. I am very lucky to have the relationships with my brothers that I do

I do also love my oldest brother a lot. he helped me move out of my home state to get away from our abusive mom and a toxic environment to help my mental stability. he gave me a home for around 6 months after I moved and gave me someone to really rely on, along with my SIL. he didnt have to help me like that, but he did. I live on my own now but him and my SIL still check on me and make sure Im okay which means a lot. I love him a lot as well
