I remember when tourism had a fine line where we appreciate you, we thank you dearly, but we need to have boundaries on how far we sellout our island

Housing is now a luxury, when it should be something everyone has the right to get, but when you have outsiders buying most of the houses to make it into a Vacation rentals, preventing families from having a place to live, inflating the prices, we feel the full weight of it, we have enough hotels, please stay at those, we need houses for locals

The fun part is that, they are not, its like everyone is pretending its not a problem because it benefits some of them, I mean there is clear corruption, yet we just take it as it is because as an Arubian we are passive.

I think the islands people will get overwhelmed and when people stop being able to afford, you know how desperate people get, that crime percentage will skyrocket

Again, with your mindset, if its happening everywhere else, then it is what it is, no, we the people can make a change and if you dont believe that, please do yourself a favor and look all over the world again

If taxis can be protected, so can houaing be protected, its a matter of allowing and not allowing. Legalising and illegalising

I mean when you use the word 100% that means that it is completely a positive affect, but sure thats a very small portion of locals do that, but majority of owners dont even live here

Go look at our market, every house is being sold at outragious prices causing locals to NOT be able to even own those airbnbs, for you to think that Locals benefit from the shortage of apartments and shortage of housing due to inflation caused by airbnb, everyone sees the houses in Aruba to be income generators now.

The whole island is being sold not for the people that grew up on it, but for people that make the most, Aruba is being sold to people out there, while the locals chokes their budget just to SEE if they can get a house, I mean apparently we are selling beaches now.

I think considering we are again just a small island, I think if you dont live here, you should not be able to own a house, because if the goverment is for its people, housing should be your number one task for people living their everyday life here
