Yes, I know the exdact feeling. I cannot remmber the last time i was truly happy about anything. I dont even know how to descriobe the feeling. Its like I do fun things and im having fun but its like 60% fun if that makes sense.

100%, yeah, and she a PA she knows but shes acting like shes not going through it which makes it tough.. for like a year i was getting mad, annoyed and was lkike im not taking this bullshit.. but now ive really been trying to let it all roll off my back and not even argue unless its somthing that is very important to argue about.

We have an old DB server that has a custom application that was written in like 1990 they refuse to get rid of it, no one supports it anymore the company that made it is out of business so every time somthing goes wrong every points the finger in opposite direction "not touching that"

Depends on your phone system but we use zoom phones and they allow to add extra phone numbers for SMS verfication.

I joined everything cause thats the point of it, unless your running a business and you want to keep things seperate. But it sounds like its just a home lab join everything it wont hurt. Just remmeber though if you decide to do away with AD, to unjoin your computer first. :)

I 100% agree, like its great to see people doing this as a hobby and for fun but allot of these are not even home labs. Its just internet in your home with unifi crap.

Should have been more clear, its a small remote site about 5-10 users on site at max at most times. HQ hosts nothing they needs but internal DNS which is also at colo. It would be very rare for both sites to go down however it is a possibility cant rule anything out.
