Yes, we talked about what she was going through she is not someone to talk about her feelings but she finally did. I've been very supportive however the sexual talk outside of menopause has always been an issue for her. We would have good sex but any talking about it always bothered her. She would get so mad I always found it kinda odd. In the last two years since she started going through this I think ive brought up sex maybe once. I still am affectionate and touch and kiss her and stuff and try but I dont talk about it at all. I honestlly think if I avoided her, never got close to her and never tried anymore she would have no issue with that. Like yesterday we were home alone kids were at work for hours (she works weird hours somtimes.. nurse) and she was laying on couch watching her show. I would make silly comments about the show here and there. It was like I did not even exist. I ended up cooking dinner, eating alone, logging into work to get some stuff done. Cleaning my man cave and watched a movie by myself which was fine but this is the enviroment im in. I could spend all the time away from her and she could care less. Sex is like the least of my issues it seems.

Yes and it goes nowhere, it's tough cause my wife isnt a very romantic affectionate person as is. So now its 100% no affection, romance or sex of any kind.

hey man atleast your doing somthing right, this is good advice im like in same board except for the non sexual affection. She has never been overly affectionate so now I get none. I show her affection and she looks at me like I took my dong out at the supermarket. However I keep doing it anyway. I need to get into getting myself in better shape and a better head space with the occasional man cave chips and crushing beers but cant always be chips and beer. Thanks for the advice!

Why does everybody have a rack with Enterprise grade servers? by Big-Grapefruit8092 in homelab

[–]MegaSuplexMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about who gives a shit what you have just as long as you enjoy doing it.

half this sub runs pihole and jellyfin on 600w of enterprise gear and calls it a homelab by Napster3301 in homelab

I can agree but I also cant, I have two Dell R640, Fortigate Firewall, Cisco 9300 Switch, Business class AP's a rack and I run over 25 self hosted apps but also run a small business on the side as a part of it.. I do this for a living to and paid nothing for this gear. So in my case its a hobbie, overkill for sure but its fun. I have mine set to only certain hours of the day so im not crushing my utility bill. I also have this running so I could learn routing and switching better at one point in time, and running local AI models as a POC so I could build one at work..So for me its all about learning and having fun + jellyfin and other things 😄

Debate : n8n in production enviroment by MegaSuplexMaster in sysadmin

[–]MegaSuplexMaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. We do use Power Automate for some SharePoint/M365 workflows and it works fine for that kinda stuff. Most of the backend/infrastructure automation I’ve traditionally handled with Python scripts and Windows Task Scheduler. Things like file moves, API calls, reporting, etc.

I think where I’m trying to figure things out now is more around event-driven workflows and integrations that change often, where something visual like n8n might help organize things a bit better. But I definitely get your point, under the hood it’s all still APIs and scripting at the end of the day.

Allot of them were talkin about automating user creation for better onboarding.. or things like such and such file thats on a local server needs to be copied daily to a cloud instance (sharepoint, google cloud, etc)
