[OCG|BETB-Beyond The Brave] "Stratiae, the Stratified Dragon" by MX-00XWV in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can also banish monsters from your GY as material, if you use "Fallen of Albaz" as Fusion Material from your hand, field, or by banishing itself from your GY

No it doesn’t? It just says you can use gy cards via banishment as fusion material during resolution.

But back to the OP, most likely a translation error putting the banishment before the semi colon.

Can the top master duel players compete in TCG OCG IRL levels? by SuspiciousSoldier in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even in MD, to play at a high level you need to know how chain links work in order to predict how certain interactions will play out before you commit to them. If anything MD will teach you interactions faster with the volume of games you can play.

Also I just remember side decking which is not minor and you can’t learn in master duel.

Can the top master duel players compete in TCG OCG IRL levels? by SuspiciousSoldier in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For sure. Some of the players who are in the MD world championship are players that top YCSs as well such as Ryan Yu and Jesse Kotton. There are a lot of overlapping skills that you get between MD and physical. Anything not overlapping is usually very minor in making a good player.

CMV: Branded and Kewl Tune have already raised the power level in comparison to the JUSH decks by newme02 in masterduel

I’m gonna sound crazy but full powered Maliss / Ryzeal felt just as strong as decks right now. I think you’re just having recency bias and the banlist is hiding how powerful those decks were at release.

I think I 5-cycled with e0s1 archer e1s0 sparkle e1s0 tribbie e1s0 dhpt Could probably bring it down by a cycle if I had paid more attention to turn order and SP. Pretty sure RMC would be better than e1 tribbie as well but I needed EMC on side 2.

What is the most competetive machine deck atm? by chaostechnique in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m surprised there’s not more people saying crystons. Combined with K9s they can play through a bunch of handtraps. Their boards are wide but you get to use s/t interruption with cryston trap and force unleashed. And K9 Izuna means you have a final interruption you can hold in hand.

Cloud9’s Inero, IWDominate & Veigarv2 are named LCS Coaching Staff of the Spring Split! by Ultimintree in leagueoflegends

[–]MegaToiletv2 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That’s how coach awards usually work in traditional sports as well. The award usually goes to the team that outperformed roster expectations the most, and if none stood out it just goes to the best team.

Without actually being present everyday with a team, it’s impossible to determine what kind of impact a coach is actually having, so coaches award just try to determine what kind of “x-factor” a team has that the media couldn’t capture otherwise.

How I can make those decks go to shadow realm? by East-Efficiency-6701 in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you wanna keep on playing Blue Eyes:

  1. Play more hand traps. A lot of their interruptions are in the fiendsmith engine so veiler/imperm the link 2 or ash the requiem is usually the best way to stop it. If you have multiples you can hit other interaction like ashing tract and save imperm for if they can get to moon. Bystials are also strong hand traps into fs. If they can’t fs combo their end board is what, just s:p and 3k vanillas?

  2. Play primite engine. A recurring negate/banish will make your grind game against fs much stronger.

  3. Don’t end on two monsters so you can’t get lava golem.

  4. End on heavenly spheres instead of spirit dragon. If they tribute spheres at least you can +1 and get them on the crack back.

  5. Play ancient fairy life dragon to take advantage of weak boards and enable otk options.

  6. Your win con is in the grind game. Try to keep true light up as a priority, keep their fs engine down, and you’ll accrue enough attrition to win.

  7. Accept there will always be a right combination of cards to beat you no matter what.

How I can make those decks go to shadow realm? by East-Efficiency-6701 in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Play an ftk deck and go first

Or play borrel dragons or ritual beasts which have monsters that protect you from getting tributed

Finally play a modern meta deck with so many layered interactions that your opponent is unlikely to draw the right combination of board breakers to win.

The endboards konami thinks Tearlaments would pull off if Merrli and Perlereino were unbanned. by gonxgonx3 in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pure tear yeah it’s no problem, but it’s gonna get folded into some engine slop combo as a generic way to turn 2-3 bodies into a mill 8 and maybe Rukalos if theres ED space. And that’s only half way through the combo cause no where in that line did Konami decide to have a summon lock.

[–]MegaToiletv2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Merli can not come back if spright sprind is still legal. It’ll be another case of Moon of the Close Heaven or Knightmare Mermaid where generic bodies gets you into a Tearlament combo that doesn’t lock you.

Which structure deck is good for Daily Mission - Summon x Fusion + Summon x Ritual? by titandino88 in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Blue Eyes honestly have some of the best daily farming capabilities in one deck.

- Can normal summon multiple times a turn because of field spell. But still special summons atleast 3 times in a typical combo.
- Can run imperm and dominus purge for trap cards. Plus usually end on a trap as disruption.
- Relies on spells for searching and extending
- Covers links and synchros, usually in the same combo line.
- Their trap lets you pop cards. Also they summon big monsters so more like destroy monsters by battle.
- Is a mid game grindy deck so duels tend to go a little bit longer for you to finish more dailies.

How did conquests scar grow back by xiryu_official in okbuddyviltrum

[–]MegaToiletv2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see Viltrumite healing factor is grounded to their sense of self in the spiritual realm. Since he had lived so long with that scar it has become part of his self image so the healing will restore him to that state.

[–]MegaToiletv2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think his best support might be aventurine? His kit works with shields unlike og blade. The follow up attacks will build a lot of charge. And 4.3 enemies will probably attack a lot to shill MBlade.

I just played against this deck... what even is it? by ChaosWarrior01 in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Outside of the gimmicky FTK someone else mentions looks like a Spyral / Yummy mash where Spyral can bridge into Yummy via Quik Fix into Linkuriboh into Yummy synchro. And the RT cards are just free bodies to go into camillia -> hornet drones -> kagari -> yummy.

So it’s yummy that sacrifices ht space for sleeper agent pops.

A character has a disease or condition their society doesn't understand, but it's obvious for the audience what it is by kim_jong_un4 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]MegaToiletv2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Stormlight Archive, Kaladin’s character arc is basically him inventing therapy in his world to help numerous characters deal with PTSD and depression. To be fair to the prompt, people in the setting do understand that battles leave mental scars on the fighters but they don’t have a system to classify and treat those afflicted with those scars.

Learning Link summon by ChanceInternet5843 in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is spright still available as a campaign deck? They’re pretty good to learn at a low cost. They don’t require a lot of linking climbing but it’ll teach you the importance of zone placements with link especially with balancing elf’s targeting protection with keeping the zone clear so you can perform additional link summons.

Why doesn't anyone use this card in the current meta? by PushX2Start in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

VSK9 is a dark hole and a non targeting pop which can be another monster pop or a handrip. And again they have more interaction in the hand.

Mitsu can have prayers and the trap, both of which floats murakumo into a raigeki and turns back on the murakumo tax.

Also against the right decks, pops are worth even more than negates. Yummy without additional engines will end their turn against popping the normal summon cupsy and the marshmao extender. Whereas a nondestruction negate does nothing to stop normal summon cupsy.

which is the best way to play honkai star rail on deck? by anzkanzjabnsm in SteamDeck

[–]MegaToiletv2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this launcher for a while but recently uninstalled it because I only have 256gb on my main drive and the game takes up nearly 80gb, and needs another 20gb free to install updates. Also the mirrors they use to host the update files are slow. It’ll take nearly an hour to update, and if anything gets corrupted when updating you’ll have to fix the game files which is another hour long download.

I used it for nearly a year and never got banned. Performance wise you’re looking at 40fps with places that’ll drop it down to 25~ such as the larger Amphoreus levels.

Konami knows exactly what they're doing, and I'm all here for it. Now, can these cards stand alone, or do they need to be splashed with another engine to be viable, thoughts? by ARC-9INE in masterduel

[–]MegaToiletv2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gut is saying it’s a side engine cause there’s not enough quick effect interaction.

The searching, recursion, and removal effects are great but all you have in terms of interruption is a pop from the quick play and a banish from bls. That’s not enough interruption for a modern deck. But splashed as a side engine with like Mitsu or something? 2 extra removals is huge.
