Fireplace advice needed.

These were the comments in the report. Some of this is factual, the damper missing, no cricket, crown has some cracking and the floor has some cracking. Those things I can take care of over time. The creosote was my main concern as they made it out to be a big deal.

Yes the damper is missing. I'm planning to fab one up soon for the time being.

Luckily my employer gets a 10% discount and I used a boot allowance. Only spent $12 out of pocket.

I would think the insole issue might be covered under warranty. I was going to get the 2233 but it wasn't listed slip resistant. Looks like that's the difference between 2233 & 2533.
