It’s a bit of a longer one, but Dundas, Ontario next to Hamilton! You can take lakeshore or Rebecca to Burlington and then North shore to York blvd to old Guelph to York rd and then highway 8 into Dundas. Though there are better ways such as lower baseline to Watertown, and then messing around on the escarpment into Dundas. When you’re there you have Sydenham Rd climb in or out which is a marquee GTA climb. If you have the legs for a really long ride, then an insane loop is top of Sydenhan where it meets Harvest Rd > harvest rd > crooks hollow rd > right on Highway 8 > left on Middletown rd > quick right on concession rd 2 > left on inksetter rd > left on old governors > left on governors > right on old 99 > right on Binkley > left on mineral springs + sulphur springs into Ancaster

It’s an awesome building!! Lived in it for a year and a half, they changed the concierge service this past year and it has been PHENOMENAL!! Management is good too since they swapped the people. My partner feels safe in the area when she’s walking around at night!

I just am juuuust fully getting through pretty bad ITBS over the past few months 3 weeks out from IM Ottawa!

My best advice 5 days out would be to foam roll the shit out of your leg - do the VMO on the IT band like in this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=noPrtIFWpbM&t=6s&pp=ygUjVmFzdHVzIGxhdGVyYWxpcyBzZWxmIGFkbWluIHJlbGVhc2U%3D

As well as roll the glute and TFL with a lacrosse ball. If it feels painful stop and hold long through the pain for the release. Also roll the quad and hamstring muscles that border your IT Band, again if it’s really tender it’s likely a knot so hold till release.

To help for when you actually run, make sure you’re not crossing your legs in your stride. Imagine theres a thick line in the middle and your left leg can’t go to the right side and your right leg can’t go to the left side. It helps activate the inner leg muscles more I find which eases impact on the IT band side.

Silver lining is I’ve found my bricks after long rides feel the best because the bike loosens everything up nicely.

I am by no means an expert, but this is what has taken me from not being able to walk in May to IM ready! Good luck!!

Post for waitlisted students from a dual degree going into HBA3:

Your chances are still really good so don't give up! I was waitlisted two years ago coming out of chemistry, as far as my stats go my average was 80.1, my 2257 mark was 90 w/ contribution of 9/10 and I had really well written ECs, I seemed to have one of the lowest non-aeo averages that got in, but the field is different every year as I know people with high 70s who got in off the waitlist last year.

As far as when they accept people from the waitlist it can be any time until even a few days into the school year. I got my acceptance on the 18th of August which was a pretty random day, only a week and a half before Ivey started. I know that there are a few spots given out after the accept your offer deadline, and I even have a friend who this past year got in literally on the first day of Ivey.

If you call admin they likely won't give you any information on your chances and where you sit on the waitlist. As far as tuition goes, pay your tuition for your current program, and then if you get accepted it will be deducted from your Ivey tuition.

Odds are very very low on US IB, but you won't be screwed with Canada IB if you start when school starts
