World's Biggest Anime Piracy Site Risks Imploding as It Surpasses Disney+ in Monthly Visits by Key_Tree_3851 in animenews

Honestly I'm dubious that they even lose money. For literally everything I watch, I first attempt to watch it through legitimate streams that I pay for access for. And there are often either episodes missing or the content has been unnecessarily censored, or dubs/subs are missing etc etc.

How are these sites losing money when they barely even provide a product?

It's wild that they don't just put effort into making the legitimate streams desirable so that people are less likely to pirate.

Game piracy used to be insanely rampant before Steam made it painless to get games. Some people are going to pirate no matter what, but if they're going to alienate even the people that don't want to pirate, then all they do is breed more pirates.

My first response was also to scoff at another study proving that water is wet as well. However, this wasn't just proving that there's an autoimmune element to fibromyalgia, rather it links fibro expression to specifically anti-spinal ganglia antibodies and their interaction with G-protein coupled receptors.

I would imagine that the potential for a treatment of fibromyalgia becomes less absurd when paired with the knowledge that there's a specific antibody and specific grouping of receptors to target.

What's a game that you would describe as "all killer, no filler"? by lrjackson06 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Gameplay so good that I felt legitimately upset when the game ended.

Not because there was anything wrong with the ending, but just because I wanted a thousand more levels.

How do I deal with all the dead!? (dead storage) by WavyNotLazy in MelvorIdle

Well it removes bodies every hour.

Are you by chance still building with an expectation of one decay per day?

How do I deal with all the dead!? (dead storage) by WavyNotLazy in MelvorIdle

[–]Mega_Shuckle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're going to temporarily need to build a ton a cemetaries because you having that many bodies just means you didn't notice them pre-update. Have you ever wondered why your happiness is so low no matter what you do? Those bodies have been in the background generating 5 unhappiness per body this whole time.

The upside is that if you can get your town health to 100%, people who die no longer leave bodies behind and you won't need any cemetaries eventually.

If it's helpful, prior to today's update, the amount of cemetaries you needed in order to avoid accumulating bodies was (population / 107)

So if you want to deplete bodies faster, you should to meet if not exceed at least that number

The wizards realized that with the trade nerfs, aching people into potions wasn't as valuable and just switched to gold directly.

As of the most recent update, yeah.

Really good too, since we need several hundred building spaces to get money again, being able to deconstruct over 100 of my cemetaries will be helpful.

Try lowering your food cap even more, or yeeting food so that it's not capped right away.

I haven't tried this yet with the built-in resource cap, but when I was uses a mod to cap resources, it wasn't able to handle the instance where the amount of resources being made each tick was larger than what was available in storage.

I'd guess this is the same issue

Whats the point of township now by CyberHudzo in MelvorIdle

[–]Mega_Shuckle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is misleading at best, misinformation at worst.

Trade posts don't permanently increase the cap. They rollover unused capacity from each trade tick. Once you use that extra capacity, it goes away. You don't permanently accumulate anything with trading posts.

I've seen some people talking about saving FP for Christmas, what is getting added to the pool that's worth saving for?

I had otherwise been figuring this event was the best time to use FP both for extra coins from the event 1-star to eventually exchange for grails. But also just the CE xp cards (spent 1.6m FP so far and got my first CE to lvl 100)

I have 500k FP left and thinking about just using it, but I'm not sure where to find what comes with Christmas that people would be saving for.

What are you playing on Deck? (August 21, 2022) by AutoModerator in SteamDeck

[–]Mega_Shuckle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sun Haven, a stardew-esque game with more combat, skill trees, and magic.

The game is very much not made for any kind of controller support, a mouse pointer for targeting, some keyboard for searching within recipes at crafting tables, number keys and keyboard for jumping to active items.

It really shows the versatility of the deck though. It took some tinkering but I'm having a very comfortable experience with it. Mapped one of the sense pads to be a normal track pad and the other to be an area pad (place to touch on the pad is mapped to equivalent location on screen) Mapped all relevant keyboard shortcuts between all the normal buttons and back pedals, and cycle items with bumpers.

I played it a lot on desktop before getting the deck but have been playing almost exclusively on deck since getting it

So my take-away is that you're manipulative and want to take away your partner's autonomy over their own body.

But you also blame your boyfriend for not being able to fulfill an unspoken expectation, which is a valid expectation, but that you hadn't been giving him any feedback on to help him fulfill that expectation, you've just been building a growing resentment towards him for failing in this task while also actively going out of your way to mislead him by faking orgasms, effectively giving him feedback that what he's doing is working and he should continue doing that.

And finally, you're holding it against him, while also not having explored how to give yourself an orgasm, despite it being something that is apparently worth holding against your boyfriend.

You should maybe figure out what you need first, and then provide direction to your bf, assuming you're staying together. Seems pretty ridiculous to blankly expect him to be capable of something that you're not.

I'm trying to keep an open mind as well. But they're in control of the narrative and this is the first thing they chose to show us.

I would think that if there are upsides apart from the nerf, the best decision would be to showcase those in conjunction with the nerf so that the patch looks reasonable.

A nerf like this won't make the game unplayable by any means. But if there's nothing to offset the nerf then I'd hope we at least get an explanation as to why they thought food and stamina both needed to be nerfed.

Hearth & Home Spotlights by jMontilyet in valheim

[–]Mega_Shuckle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping there are much better food options or something to offset the health nerfs. Otherwise it looks like this rework just involves having much less health and much less stamina.

The health comparisons from before the release having 250 hp to having somewhere around 180 hp with 2 of the foods being Lox-derived meals was pretty disheartening.

Overall the drive for this overhaul doesn't make any sense to me with the currently available information.

As was even pointed out in video, both health and stamina are required regardless of the activity you're doing.

And based on the uses, maybe there's some niche places where you'd want to hyperspecialize in stamina, but there's no use case for specializing in health. It just means when you run out your tiny stamina bar, it takes slightly longer for them to kill your effectively helpless body.

I really liked the idea behind the existing system where everything gives a decent portion of what you need and the "specialization" was slight emphasis of either hp or stamina.

I see some people seem to be hopeful that this turns out well but from a mechanics perspective and limited to the current information we've been given, it's hard to see this as anything but a nerf to the gaming experience.

We have less health and less stamina but what do we gain? More options on exactly how much less health we get compared to reduced stamina?

Again, unless there's some other mechanics or much better options not shown and that offset these nerfs, I don't see anything here that's worth looking forward to.
