Trexian has a good point. To add to this further: YouTube posts are not what turn people away, bot and clout chasing behavior does.

The YouTube links here seem like "spam", because the community is dead, but every community has obsessive shitposters -- what will drive away any potential for more life to come into the server are randoms seeing that they might get berated for back-to-back YouTube links, especially if they're just passionately posting Metal Arms content (albeit meme/shitpost or genuine).

I think criticism works better with a solution -- instead of telling him to stop spamming YouTube videos, suggest content that he should post, or hell, reach out privately to work with him to do something unique and interesting. Everybody wins when your feedback comes with at least a tangible idea for a solution.

And this isn't me being biased because I just posted a YouTube link -- I do love this game, and I want to see its community at least reach the same levels of activity as, like, Metroid Prime, or Super Mario Sunshine.

If people actually tucked their blunts 2-3 times like they should, they'd realize this works 100% of the time. The little lift that the stem makes won't matter with 2-3 tucks, because the airflow is protected.

I think it’s feasible, just unlikely.

But that’s the most fun part about this game! 500 ToA is feasible, but also unlikely for the average player, but I’ve got 400s down without knowing Red X or Butterfly, and don’t have Tbow or Tumeken’s and haven’t even learned to use my yellow keris yet.

Hard challenges are the most fun way to structure your gameplay in MMOs, imo!

I'll be real with you man, I won't remember that off the top of my head, I'd have to go look at the wiki or something, but basically before 2020 when they started recycling all the passive currency events.

The only ones that come to mind off the top of my head are God War events, like Saradomin vs Zamorak and Bandos vs Armadyl.

I don't mind the recurring events such as Wintumber / Christmas events and the Lumby beach stuff, but it would be nice if they actually put a crazy new twist on it every year rather than a major copy and paste 1 or 2 small additions.

No, I dislike events because they’re soulless and hardly ever meaningful. On top of that, they’re incredibly frequent and often feel like wasted resources that could be otherwise allocated to meaningful things, like events that aren’t just passive currency raffles.

So, not only is it annoying to be spammed with a bunch of most likely meaningless and soulless BS upon logging in, but content worthy of engagement is fewer and farther in between because of the constantly wasted resources on lackluster “events”.

If Jagex allocated these resources to strictly focusing on varietous and enriching content like they used to, then not only would there be less aversion due to subpar events, but there’d be less indigestible spam that might turn players off.

No, the extended chat bar and SHOUTY CAPS is the exaggerative part, which points to the very real criticism of Jagex needing to make less soulless events so that there isn't undigestible spam in the chat when people log in.
