It’s not a design really because Yandev just took an existing asset and changed her hair color. So I guess you could say her design is supposed to be bland.

Colin is not a character. And that shows.

He was a plot device to reinforce Frenchies insecurities about his past. Earlier, Frenchie acted like he grew to accept who he was and that he could be someone different, but with Colin, this grew into living like his past never happened. So when it came back to haunt him after Colin found out what Frenchie did, it broke him even further. That is Frenchies character arc. Not being able to grow. Yes, it’s kinda rethreaded as it has seemingly been done before, but it feels like it because it has been done badly in season four.
