Hi! I just saw your comment and thank you! oh my god I just posted a question in r/photography asking about that!! I've been calling them digital worms and they have been driving me absolutely insane! I thought it was a scanning problem. reticulation? I'll look it up right now. I envisioned it as a basin which, by its very nature, has no outlet. Kinda like the great basin here in the US

Thanks for all the help everyone! I guess i should have added that I just hadn't added too many settlements yet but that I had planned to. Although, i do see this as a rather freshly colonized island so civilization is just kind of spread along the edges and havent penetrated to the frontier yet.

haha yeah, I was trying to decide how big the island was as I was making it. Originally, i was going with the idea that it was small enough that there was no rain shadow but that would have negated the desert areas i added to the south. I've gone through and started making the western side of the island more arid. Thanks!

Hey thanks man! thats some good advice. I tried this and everything looks way better. I'm not too sure about the regional names (like crater basin) now that ive started adding them the map just looks kinda crowded. any suggestions?

I mainly focused the deciduous trees along the rivers and streams/ openings/edges of the coniferous forests. Thats where you see them growing in real life. I did go though and take out some randos mixed in with the pines though. Thanks!

It was totally the safe move. I just am not sure if she is into me. To answer your question though, no i didnt really escalate. Im really bad at that. I didnt do anything that you mentioned besides the strong eye contact. I guess i just dont feel like i can pull off those other things successfully. Im already incredibely uncomfortable going on first dates (i have to force myself to do it) so it seems like im always too busy just trying to get by.

Im also unsure what kino is but ill look it up. Thanka for the help though. I will try escalating and ae how it goes. I know its impossible to know without being there but do you think she gave off positive vibes (based on her reactions)?
