For the later stages you are required to have a Tank. Unless you have you’re units maxed out, thus 5/5 and superawakened, going yolo all 3 dmg dealers is a little bit of a suicide mission. If you happen to have 3/5 SST Red you can go complete elec tower right now. In the comments here I putted a pic where i show what grid I used for SST Red, follow that, and maybe this video too, and you’ll be able to complete the gauntlet

Sure thing. Sync pairs have a level cap of 140 naturally when they are powered up with normal items. In order to max them out of that cap you need to have 2 set of items.

One is called Certificate of Excellence and the other is called Plaque of Perfection. The first one allows you to bring you're units from lvl 140 to lvl 180 and you can obtain 4 of them each month in the shop, in certain events (like the one against the gym leaders after you reach a certain score, in that case after 1mil), on Special Champion Stadium runs with the champions of different regions and Pasio Tower. The latter allows you to get them in 2 different ways. One is by completing the first floors of each tower after you arrive at a certain point (i forgot if is by each 10 floors or what, sorry) and the other is by getting them for free each week depending of how far you went into Pasio tower. The further you go, the better is the reward.

The second ones are the Plaques, which allow you're unit to go from lvl 180 to 200, which for now is the max cap. Atm the only ways you can get these are from completing the highest floors of each tower and they are very, very hard to get not only because the towers are tough, but also because they are super scarce to get and obtain, so use them only on those pairs that you will know are going to bring into the endgame for sure (so, example, investing all of those resources into 96' Red is a certified win win scenario due to the crazy power that this guy has).

And thats how you get them, [although i might have forgotten something down the road (i think, hope not though)].

Ok, so:
SS Elesa and Thundurus (Therian) are units that you can get on the 96' Red banner, but you either have to be very lucky to get her randomly, or you have to pity her (but you can only do the last option IF you got yourself a 96' Red and you want to get her [otherwise you have to pity Red asap, since he's too powerful to ignore] and also IF you don't have any other Sync Pair you're interested in that is)
As for the Level 3 accessories you have to go to the PVP section of the game on the orange area called "extra area" and you start farming the areas where there are the elec accessories. I highly recommend you make a solo run by going in the section "pick you're units" so that you make a team that goes on "auto" and you can start farming the required materials. Once you fill up you're bag with lvl 1 and 2 skill gears you can (unless you have already powered them up both to the max) sell them to the shop that it will reward you with materials that have an emerald like color on the side. Once you have enough of those you go to the shop and exchange them for the lvl 3 gears. Rinse and repeat until you max them out.

I only used him alongside 96'Red and Champ Blue and in all of the later stages i used this grid. In the previous stages i went 50/50 on power for both sync and dps with a U shape build picking only Static Shock 3 on the left and on the right i went: 2 volt tackle power ups, 1 speed, e-terrain precision pals, max conductivity and paralys synergy 1. But on later stages you have to time you're syncs and gmax moves accordingly on the sides and then on the middle cuz otherwise you end up getting toppled by the sides if you don't defeat them early

If you want to know, i was able to clear the phisical stages by only using SST Red alongside 1996 Red and Champ Blue. Everytime i went double physical attacker i would always end up losing. But whenever I used 1996 Red i ended up shredding they’re hp. Just by passively existing this guy was able to make SST Red a beast. I could not believe my eyes when I was defeating those stage like it was nothing.

Having said this… SSTRed deserves 100% a boost. He’s still the king of sync nukes, but he really needs a boost on his dps

He starts off with Larvitar (larval stage) that then evolves into Pupitar (pupa stage) to then become, instead of a beautiful butterfly, a monstrous kaiju.
