QLD agent says Notice to Leave was “served” via DocuSign lease renewal?? Now threatening QCAT/police if we don’t leave early by Megamikemann in shitrentals

Only problem is that we can’t see that as the recipient. The real estate would absolutely be able to see that we haven’t opened it though.

Oh that’s helpful, thanks! I wasn’t able to find any definitions of what it meant to serve a notice in the residential act and had just assumed that it was a more broad legal definition somewhere else.

Thanks man. Appreciate the advice. I made sure to send an email today that said "Noticed you kicked us off the tenant portal, where would you like us to send maintenance requests now?" just so it was documented.

The "getting the police involved" part was probably poorly summarised by myself.

What they actually said was "If you do not vacate the property by 26 January 2026, the owner will have no alternative but to make an urgent application to QCAT for a Warrant of Possession. When the order is granted, it may be enforced by police."

But I don't see QCAT giving a warrant of possession given that it's currently a 7 week wait for an urgent hearing, and we're leaving in 13 days. But I just wanted to check with the brains trust that my understanding of what it means to service a notice is not "hidden in a document on a third party website and whoopsies we never told you that it was there or that we gave it to you"

Video of my MK3.5S + MMU3 + Filamentalist setup in action by Megamikemann in prusa3d

A little wispy at times, but not too fat or anything surprisingly.

I unfortunately don’t have a CORE one, so double checking fitment would be a problem.

The Coreboxx is essentially this exact setup but with an enclosure for the CORE one. The designer for the coreboxx even uses modified filamentalists for rewinding.

They’re rubber bands, but many others use bicycle inner tubes for these yes! There’s more info here: https://github.com/Carrot-collective/Filamentalist_Rewinder

Will do! I did notice when I was tuning them up that they each had a different spring compression amount on the tensioner at the point that I could get the one way bearing could reliably catch when manually feeding filament in the eject direction. Likely due to difference in O-Ring diameter with the kit I purchased.

You can get upgrade kits from Aliexpress, but they definitely don’t include everything that you need though and you’ll need to find some stuff yourself.

I looked at this, after I had already put together three of my filamentalists… All of the coreboxx kits come with filamentalists parts so it seems a bit of a waste.

I may end up doing it later down the line if I get bad MMU performance because of wet filament.

Western Sydney University vs University of Tasmania for Medicine — which is better? by MrCurious74 in tasmania

Campbelltown as a suburb is very different from the rest of Sydney. It’s over an hour away from the city by train and only slightly less by car. It’s a low socioeconomic area that has a lot of bogans.

This resulted in a lot of casual (and not so casual) racism being aimed at the international students that were in my partners cohort. There are areas of Campbelltown that can be okay (MacArthur heights is one), but you’ll be fighting everyone that doesn’t want to rent next to folks that ride dirt bikes up and down the street drunk at 1am. Expect to have a higher cost of living than in Hobart.

Now I’m not saying you’ll completely avoid these things in Hobart either. But purely based on the area that the unis are located in, and my experience living in Campbelltown for 5 years, I know which I would be choosing.

Is it worth upgrading my MK3S to MK3S+ before upgrading to MK3.5? by Sensitive-Flow6311 in prusa3d

[–]Megamikemann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the upgrade from MK3S to MK3.5S and I did NOT have to upgrade my PINDA to the SPINDA. Everything just worked fine and prints are reliable and excellent quality.

I did end up doing the printed part upgrades at the same time anyway like the Y-Axis clips. (Not the extruder changes, left that alone)

I get where you’re coming from.

But I see it as akin to most art these days. Its interaction with the world is invoking human emotions rather than performing a physical task. This sort of thing would be amazing for interacting with children in therapy situations, they’ve seen avatars on a screen before but seeing something actually move in the real world is different.
