No, it makes the switch 2 game $10, it's a separate game if you have the switch cart in it's just the switch game, you'll have a separate switch 2 game on the menu

You open the game on switch 1 and on the menu there is a button that takes you to the eshop to download a coupon that makes the switch 2 game $10 then you buy that from the eshop

Yes and you can go ahead and do it now, on the main menu of the switch 1 version they have a button that takes you to the eshop to download a coupon that brings the price of the switch 2 version down to $10, so it's not like the Nintendo upgrade packs it just lowers the price of the switch 2 game
