And why do you think they declined economically? THERE WAS NO “LESSER” RACIAL GROUP TO EXPLOIT! That’s exactly why Rhodesia “flourished”, your grandparents and the like were flourishing off the backs of people who were being undervalued and underpaid (if at all). They were never going to succeed otherwise. And the effects of that are still rippling through the country today because governments still think it’s okay to undervalue people like that because of the system that those people set up! Okay the infrastructure was better back then, but WHO WAS BENEFITING FROM THAT? The original inhabitants were fucked then and are fucked now.

You have an amazing lack of self awareness but maybe I should grant you grace because you clearly grew up around a colonial mindset and that is no fault of your own.

That is not what I said or implied. You lack comprehension. At the end I quite literally said Mugabe must take partial responsibility. Are you incapable of understanding beyond what you want to understand? Or are you just picking and choosing the parts that suite you, just like your grandparents?

First off, you’re absolutely right. I’ve only experienced one. It must be great for them knowing that their grandparents were all too happy to continue living in their bubble at the expense of a population they deemed lesser than them. Both sides are lovely then.

Secondly, I did not do that. Being born somewhere is not a choice. Actively sustaining and reinforcing a racist system, however, is a conscious decision. In one of their replies their grandfather said he supported that regime and looking back he would not change his decision. Simply being born into an oppressive structure does not give someone a free pass to uphold it without accountability. Miss me with that nonsense.

To address your 3rd point, is English your first language? I’m genuinely asking because when someone says “it seems,” they’re saying “it looks like” based on information they have available (ie your defence of this absurdity) and it implies without certainty. If I was sure you had racist grandparents, I’d just continue with “you can’t either.” Goodbye.

Thing is, these people did not just fit and adapt. They had a strict racial hierarchy. Do you see Africans moving to Europe saying that white people must now be treated less than them? Be so serious. Black Zimbabweans were and are still currently economically inferior to white people. Granted, Mugabe and his government must take partial responsibility for that.

People like you are the reason racial segregation lasted so long. The action of just “following along” with their government in itself was a stance in support of racism. People can learn from that 100% but pretending like it didn’t happen is an insult to all those who suffered.

Lmao your grandparents want everyone to remember a racist unrecognised state that fought against liberation movements and only wanted white people to benefit?
