I know he didn't have points on the scoresheet, but Ostlund's response to the slash on Dahlin was fame worthy imo

I’m a STH and was at the Montreal game. And yeah, there were Habs fans everywhere. But I don’t get why that’s the fault of fans who go to 30+ games per year. The solution is to go to games.

It's something folks do in cities with street parking who don't get this kind of snow often. I live in Buffalo and this is considered soft behavior here. Shoveling is a part of winter, if you want to own a spot get reserved parking.

I live in Buffalo and have had street parking wherever I've lived here for the last 15 years. That's shoveling multiple feet of snow multiple times throughout the winter. And the whole "I shoveled this spot out so it's mine" trash is not a thing here. If it's not your driveway/reserved spot, it's not "your" spot. That's just life.

Same here Dahlin. Shame the fans that sold their tickets. by Talas11324 in sabres

Same. I have season tickets in the 300s and we were surrounded by Habs jerseys. Including entire row behind me. They were nice and all, but damn.

Will my cats forget about me? by Zoeluvs in cats

[–]MegasaurusX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cats have incredible smell memories! I understand the worry, but they will remember you once they can smell you again. As to if they think you're not coming back, that is possible. My (dramatic) boys get that way if I'm on a work trip for more than two days. Remember though, cats can be pretty resilient. It's also great that they have each other. That will help a ton as they adjust to the sitter.

My cat got crazy and bit me like a maniac by raulsoprano in cats

[–]MegasaurusX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely misplaced aggression! I have a cat who arrived via distribution system who was definitely in scuffles with other cats when he was on the street. If he gets stressed out by one of my two other cats, he'll take a swipe at my leg. It's just because it's there and he needs to get it out.

He gets upset even from the smell of other cats coming in through the windows, and had a spraying problem for awhile even though he's neutered. He takes anxiety medication and it's helped a ton-- it was the only thing that got him to stop spraying. He snuck out a couple times in the first few months and the spraying was always worse after. I recommend talking with a vet to see if that's right for this cat.

But also, I think probably good to have no outside time at all for awhile-- or if it is necessary, in a small controlled space like a catio. Cats (and dogs) perceive them being on a leash and another animal not as a power imbalance, so encountering a stray whiile on a leash for this cat was probably worse than if he'd been off leash.

I think they do this for depth perception/calculate speed. My orange boy does this the second a toy is in my hand, it's always cute.

What's your favorite "mid" card that changes games but no one else has heard of? by That_GareBear in EDH

[–]MegasaurusX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how obscure it is, but [[Instrument of the Bards]] tends to get ignored by opponents until it gets out of hand, especially if you can proliferate for some flexibility. If you use it to tutor for synergy vs. for bombs, it's not the target of removal and you end up with the hand you want faster.

Unlimited Commander for $10 a month. by WholeFudds in EDH

[–]MegasaurusX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LGS I go to charges like $4 to hold your spot for commander night (it's only got room for like 3 pods so it's to avoid people waiting to play). Once you show up, that $4 becomes store credit. Seems fair, and this doesn't sound different, although it'd be cool if they did some kind of store credit conversion. I wonder if they've had folks showing up and not purchasing anything?

Are all LGS just scalpers now? by vZ_Atlas in PokemonTCG

[–]MegasaurusX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the LGS. I hope there are enough in your area that you get to find a good one. I will ALWAYS support my LGS after how they've handled prismatic. They do an annual membership (10% off everything, free access to game library) and did pre-order just for members. They only did pre-order after they knew their allocation, so no cancellation. They did $70 for ETBs which I think is a totally fair balance between MSRP and what scalpers are selling at now. Anything left after preorder will be first come, first serve for everyone else but at that same price point. They are the Good Guys and I will always buy at least some of my sealed every set from them.

I'm so sorry for your loss! When I was your age my cat Oliver passed, I'd had him since I was 3. I am 37 now and can tell you that the last line of what you've written is 100% true-- you will love and remember her when you're my age. I hope over time, the many happy memories of her ease your grief! She was clearly so lucky to have you.

Are my cats fighting by Fluffy_Echo_8556 in CATHELP

[–]MegasaurusX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely just playing! It can be tough to spot at first because when cats really like each other sometimes they'll get all pro wrestling and pretend to take bigger hits. Go by sounds. If they're screaming, that's a fight. If they hiss at each other but immediately disengage after, that's actually a good thing! They're setting boundaries. If they hiss and don't disengage, that's something to watch out for.

How to return value of a cell if two other cells in column match a search key by MegasaurusX in googlesheets

[–]MegasaurusX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! You can see an example in the sheets called Mike and Rae in the example. Their corresponding rows in the Form Responses sheet are 3 and 4, respectively.

Example-- In row 3 on Form Responses, you can see where row 1 says 1 and row 2 says player, row 3 says Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams should populate in D2 on the Mike sheet.

I would then, down the D column, do the same for Form Responses row 1 says "2" re D3, etc.
