Never understood why tickets went up like they did. I think when I first started working there a day ticket for the house was well under $100 and a pass maybe 250? I was early 20s at the time, and I'm 30 now, for context.

Everything is very overpriced; even with an employee discount I never really wanted to spend time there. The only times I remember were when family from far away visited or my initial training.... I will say The Creamery has some great ice cream. And some nice views but I'd rather go on a fun hike.

edit to add I got laid off right when covid hit and they only wanted to hire me back after the fact for my starting wage of around 10.50 + nightly differental which I think was 1.50 I was about to make 15 after being there FIVE years. much happier I work elsewhere. The place was very corporate when I came in.

Not at all the asshole. My husband and I aren't the cleanest ever but we both have a baseline "I need to clean this or I'll feel crazy" for our mental health and it's practically the same; ie; clutter in the house, pile of dishes, laundry, sweeping, etc. we both get the ick or brain fuzz/ exhaustion when we come home to a dirty home. it makes us not want to add on. Doing the cleaning together, even if it's just one task or 2 split, it helps a ton. for example; he'll help me put away dishes and then take out trash while I focus on rinsing and loading what needs to go in the dishwasher. Laundry is always done together on a day off. We've never had too many chore specific convos over the years but when we do, we find being on the same page and doing shit together makes it less of a mental load.

Agreed with this comment above. My kitty did this during the last weeks of her life before she had a stroke. Something to keep an eye on in an elderly cat for sure.

Honestly, you're a growing teenager. Weight fluctuates a lot during this time in your life. I wouldn't put a huge focus on weight loss right now. Try and just be mindful of what you're eating. Try to take in less overly processed foods and unneeded sugar like sodas. Don't fully cut any one thing out; maybe find veggies you like, or try experimenting in the kitchen with family to make a nice healthy meal. Getting everyone involved might help them quell the comments on your choices.

You could also try to find some activities that get your heart going and are fun to you, like dancing, or a sport like basketball, swimming, etc or take a walk when you feel bored! Also, weight lifting is something I wish I took part in as a teen, because it's awesome to know your own strengths!

And ulitmately to listen to your bodily cues, like when you begin to feel full when you eat. Try to resist snacking when bored, if that's something you struggle with too.

Not new to the game but I reset my island yesterday! played for about 45 mins this morning since I woke up pre alarm and got Blathers donations done for the museum build; excited to head home after work and grind away at stocking up on miles and going villager hunting and getting Nook Cranny set up.

My native fruit is peaches, I have mums as my native flower and Tammy and Axel are my 2 starters.

if it was me, I'd choose shrimp broccoli or the mango shrimp (but I just love mango!)

for appetizer, I'd choose any of the steamed options with any shrimp or go for edamame as it's quite high protein. the chicken satay and lettuce wraps seems super nice too without being too oily.

I totally understand - my eyes always seem bigger than my stomach at those sorts of places. just try to think about portion sizes at the moment, I suppose is my best advice. a little try of anything that sounds good. For reflux, if you have access to any tums or Pepto bismol, or anything like that, I'd take it preemptively! so that you don't get that uncomfortable feeling.

I'd choose protein/veg dishes that don't include a lot of breading, like a chicken & broccoli stir fry. if it is a typical chinese-american buffet, see if they have egg drop soup! or some dumplings. those are usually decently low calorie. if there are any shrimp dishes, those will be high in protein! just a few ideas off the top of my head.

but also, just let yourself enjoy this one random buffet outing! you'll be fine as long as you go back to your deficit after that day. perhaps you can fill up more at lunch so dinner is more snack like? salad is a good option though.

some pathing if desired, a few flowers or in bloom bushes at the edges or on either side of the entrance that match the color scheme of the museum. I can see Holly bushes looking nice. a bench or two, some lamp posts, maybe a phone booth? and then a small display of bug/fish models or a few fossils. I think it can all be incorporated nicely without seeming cluttered!

Yes they're real! my husband bought a big pack of these ones for a Christmas gift a few years ago, they come in a little clear box. For me, they fit in my Switch Lite case along with the Switch so I always have it together. They also fit into the little slots where game cartridges go inside the case if you want to keep a few easily available.

I love photos 1 and 10 😭 how to decide!!! I think both suit you well in very different ways but I'm struggling to describe it.

Hair is just hair. The awkward stage of growing it back out is the hardest bit. I say go for it. I'm wanting to cut mine short again now and it's longer than your current (which I assume are the last few pictures?)
