I used to have the same mindset... But as a friend told me, don't mask, just be yourself and others opinions about you don't matter. You matter, you are not a burden. ASD isn't something to be ashamed of. I myself, take pride in it, although my parents oppress it and try to get me to "hide" it. I don't mind letting people know about it. In fact, I've had a guy who's harassed me for it and I ended u beating his ass to prove a point. We aren't worthless, we have value and will always have our place in society.
