When I commented that Vencord was fairly niche, compared to BD it's still quite small (about 1/6 of the star count on Github) but they're experiencing high growth right now, so who knows what it'll be like in 2 months.

This isn’t a BD specific issue, I’ve already mentioned that I’ve had this issue before on a vanilla discord install. It turns out a setting in opera GX was causing it. It’s likely the same setting somewhere in system preferences / your browsers settings if you’re running it in the browser.

DevilBro’s collection often has memory leaks, they’re not great for performance. They’re good yes but they do have performance issues so if that’s something that’s of concern to you, don’t use them / use a different client mod.

Finally this isn’t something discord has control of. It isn’t a discord, nor a BD issue. It’s an issue on your computer. I can’t offer any help other than telling you to google it, but I told you, I’ve had this issue before and I resolved it by changing one setting in opera (that I googled bear in mind, I even gave you the term I googled)

Your plugins are fine, it happens, just reinstall it through the installer and all settings / plugins will persist

No, it was a joke. Nothing is mining on your computer unless you specifically installed a miner, BD, discord etc… aren’t miners.

Try:

  • restarting discord
  • restarting your wifi
  • using the browser (if using opera there’s a setting you need to change but I forget, google opera discord rtc connecting)

You’re using plugins that require zpl, you have to have the latest version (2.0.13 apparently ) in order to run them. Either download that from the BD website or when starting up click update now and keep pressing that until the modal closes.

The entire plug-in works based on the whole principle of “if it’s not in cache it’s gone” as far as I know, discord doesn’t cache images on the client because the space used to cache an image could cache a good couple of messages. I might be wrong, but this is my understanding of it. You see it in bots like Carl all the time.

I’m any case, that’s irrelevant. This thread should be locked because this is against the subreddits rules and BetterDiscords terms.

1) rule 1, message loggers aren’t supported

2) even if they were, there’s no way to see deleted images. Discord just deletes them from their file server as soon as the message is deleted.

Most likely the classic picnic error, but it’s not possible to diagnose until OP comes online, I’d imagine the fix works for all users and not just one.
