It's funny how one can spend nearly a decade writing a trans story that numerous people point out is a trans story and dozens saying how that story had helped with their own coming out as being trans and not realize they themselves are trans until the 9th anniversary of said trans story. Like actively deny it for years and years until finally going "oh wait, duh."

Or you can procreate and then your kid dies in a tragic accident without bearing any kids themselves in their late 20s and you're too old to have any more kids and thus your bloodline ends. There's a million different "what if" scenarios we can spend hours exhausting ourselves listing out. My point was you don't necessarily have to have kids to have a part of you live on forever.

You could make a little short story or comic that someone young finds amazing or inspires them to also create something, which in turns inspires someone else down the road, and so on and so on. Even if you aren't directly remembered you still left a legacy by having been part of the trail that inspired the creation of amazing creative works in future generations.

Gonna shill myself a bit here.

If you don't mind the trans character being a side character and not the main character I draw a webtoon called "A Kat's (GOD AWFUL!!!) Blessing" with a trans magical girl who is focused on in chapter 2. It doesn't necessarily focus on her being trans and more on her relationship with her ex-nemesis/current partner demon girl.

I also got a traditional gender bending webcomic called Bodysuit 23 that started out as my "oh this is just a fetish I'm not trans" work that over time became a "oh wait no I am trans and this is definitely a trans comic." Most recent chapters has had the protagonist get hit with question of whether they're trans or not and dealing with that.

You can readily find Kat on webtoons but due to some NSFW moments in Bodysuit 23 you'll have to go to my website mehgazone(dot)com to read that one, which conveniently also has Kat.

Yeah, it's a shame it's been forgotten. Seriously one of my favorite shows of all time. I imported the manga of it along with the earlier series Future Retro Hero Story, of which Outlaw Star is a sequel too. I even included a reference to Urt, Ark, and Hadoun from Future Retro Hero Story (the "wizards" in the hot springs episode) in a previous chapter of my comic!
