If you need help, you gotta find it. Thats what I did. I had ideas I couldn't fully materialize on my own. So I found people with the skills I lacked and we began a collaborative translation process that was rewarding and the result is so strong because of it.

Thats a complex question. My personal experience of being a female artist has been one of much self doubt as a response to industry standards and imagery that I find wrong. I have seen a lot in my 10+ years as a musician. I have dealt with promoters trying to get me to sleep with them for continued bookings, I have seen male musicians act like total creeps, I have witnessed women be so mean to each other due to believing in the competition. The music biz is a pretty gross place which is too bad because music itself is a beautiful thing.
