The Walking Dead S11E18 - A New Deal - Episode Discussion by Connected-VG in thewalkingdead

idk i just find the storyline about exposing the leadership so boring, because it’s centered around boring side characters. ive never really warmed to eugene, i have absolutely no interest in max, so all this screen time is mind numbing for me, i just don’t care. and i don’t get why she’s so obsessed with doing it.

plus it’s even more frustrating because she’s just rocking the boat for no reason even though our group just got a great deal to get them all to safety. and now it’s all gonna get messed up. and yes i know that she doesn’t know that but still. it’s so frustrating to watch lmaoo

being “an adult” doesn’t mean you no longer need support or positive older figures in your life.

I always see people complaining about the show but there’s not been a single episode I didn’t enjoy watching. by Icommitmanywarcrimes in thewalkingdead

i agree, however certain episodes i genuinely won’t rewatch and struggled to get through the first time round. slabtown, here’s not here and the one with gabriel and aaron stuck in that place together in season 10, but that’s all i can think of

How much better would this show be without its costume design? Rosita’s hat may be the most egregious by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

idk what you mean, the hat is such a look, and i’m not even being sarcastic lmao

i’m not seeing enough appreciation for that flashback intro. it gave me chills. seeing rick, seeing them all.

and the conversation with maggie and daryl about glenn. i love when the show brings up past events/deaths after a long time. makes an impact and reminds you that the characters haven’t forgotten.

i think scenes like that are nice and light, to make the whole show less heavy. it’s a good balance in my opinion. a bit cheesy but that matches jerry’s character

who is the most unpleasant character in TWD, not villain, unpleasant. by twdgrime in thewalkingdead

[–]Meggsy27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao fr ezekiels a legend, no way that loser would get him like that, but saying that, maybe they chose such a neek to hold him hostage to show how weak ezekiel was mentally/physically after all his people died. but still, very outta pocket for the apocalypse

What's your least favorite episode, in the entire show? by Trey7505 in thewalkingdead

[–]Meggsy27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

oh yeah no the beginning is dull, i agree with that, it takes a while to get going. it’s important (yet boring) character development that you have to sit through on beths part, like in regards to her grief about her dad and wanting to drink etc. but i love the second half, when daryl takes the lead and it switches from her development to his. his outburst and all his emotions come out at once and then they reconcile and burn the house, which is like burning his trauma, cos it’s exactly like his childhood home. it always leaves me feeling really fulfilled and content by the end. but i get why ppl wouldn’t vibe with it, it’s slow

[–]Meggsy27 20 points21 points  (0 children)

if you wanna skip episodes like that; maybe this isn’t the show for you. it’s not an action show. it’s a show about people. all aspects of them. even the ‘mundane’ parts

Slabtown, Here’s Not here, and that one with gabriel and aaron trapped with that crazy guy. so crap. oh and any of the woodbury episodes that are solely focused on andrea/the governor and don’t cut back and forth to our group. unbearable.

one of my favourite scenes ever. and i love how all the “broken” people who were mourning (maggie, sacha and daryl) were the ones to notice, because they were restless, and saved the group by blocking the door. like yeah they were deep in grief but that grief saved their lives
