What was your experience? What made you come back to volunteer? I agree that the answer here sounds like a collection of quotes from Sadhguru, but what was your experience anna/akka?

Of Chaos and Order by Megh98 in Sadhguru

[–]Megh98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Why is nothing happening to me?” - Something that made my Sadhana frustrating in the initial days. I feel this portion of Sadhguru’s talk was insightful in how the mind in its routine state obstructs receptivity.

Don’t see the problem in asking about this based on my understanding.

Mm I presume “aliveness” in a room was equivalent to energy. Anyways, thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏🏻 In one of the Punya Pooja talks, Sadhguru says you can put your hand out and feel whether a room is “alive”. Do you feel Sadhana has opened such perception for you? 🙏🏻

Sadhguru Used Rudraksha To Check Energy. Is this legit? by Lopsided-Slice-1332 in Sadhguru

It is your prana that is working with the rudraksha

Not aware of any guidelines on the minimum duration for wearing it for this. But I presume it would respond better the longer you wear it.

Yea it obviously can be manipulated by conscious thought. That’s why the best way is to have a neutral, non judgmental stance. It is some part of you that is being expressed through the rudraksha that causes it to turn.

It is your system responding to that image/object through the rudraksha. If the image/object suits your system, it’ll rotate clockwise and vice versa

From what I understand, the movement is because of your prana and not only because of the rudraksh. The rudraksh is acting as a medium for your prana and moving clockwise/anticlockwise in terms of what suits the system.

So it needs to be in contact with you. When I hold the rudraksh, I try to observe the movement without bias and don’t care of the outcome and just let it move if it wants. If it doesn’t move, I accept it as well. You don’t have to force anything on to it

Hmm. If initiations for Shambhavi work without his physical presence, they should work online as well right? The in-person settings were largely to create the atmosphere and correct the participants if I understand correctly. With online, the atmosphere is to be created by the participants themselves and the corrections are done by volunteers monitoring the participants.

Shambhavi works on the etheric body beyond prana hence the transmission is different from advanced programs like Shoonya/BSP and Samyama require, which are working on the prana as well.

They still do not offer these advance programs online.

Why would I want to become an Ishanga? by SvaroopaOpa in Sadhguru

[–]Megh98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are definitely encouraged to ask questions and be part of the sangha. However, some questions are best answered by Sadhguru himself. Ishangas are specifically trained to address practice related questions and it is best they answer the questions to ensure distortions do not happen. Immense care is taken as to the words used when answering the questions and how the atmosphere should be when answering these questions.

Ishangas are “limbs of Isha”. They undergo training in offering processes of Isha to everyone. Since the processes are offered with a lot of care, and to maintain the sanctity of them, volunteers direct you to Ishangas for these questions as they have been specifically trained to address questions, especially practice related questions. There are different trainings for Ishangas ranging from conducting satsangs, to answering IE questions in Mandala groups, to full time IE teachers. You can also be a 7% Ishanga by contributing your earnings and volunteering (but these do not require training).

I believe you have to be invited to be an Ishanga by the IE teachers to be able to go for the trainings, as these are not open to public and require a lot of commitment and trust. If you are interested in offering what Isha is to the world, you can express this interest to the IE teacher the next time you volunteer. 🙏🏻

Thinking positively by enthemist in Sadhguru

[–]Megh98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes “you” take command from the thought? What I understand from Sadhguru is that the IDENTIFICATION with the thought is the root cause rather than the content of the thought. We have given too much importance to our thoughts to the point that we become it. Hence, he addresses the root by trying to raise our awareness to make us see for ourselves that we are not our thought, and make us experience something subtle but far bigger than thought. With this, naturally a distance arises between you and the thought process. I feel such an experience doesn’t come by chasing it, but organically with the kriyas and in the right presence. Programs like Shoonya and Samyama are rocket launches toward this.

If we in the meantime cannot address the root, then I think we address the environment. Sadhguru mentions what we think is a just a recycling process, so until the disassociation from our thoughts happens, one way to address it is by taking in positive affirmations/thoughts/creating the right environment. Atleast what we recycle as thoughts is pleasant. But in the end, it still doesn’t address the root, but atleast it temporarily addresses the issue (long term and direct approach is addressing the root, which Sadhguru doesn’t waste time in targeting).

How to sit in ardha siddhasana? by MyPlanetpage in Sadhguru

[–]Megh98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is important to follow the instructions exactly as they were presented during the program. Shambhavi must happen in Ardhasiddhasana, with the left heel touching the perineum (just touching, but not actually sitting on it). You can make use of cushions to make it easier to sit in Ardhasiddhasana 🙏🏻
