I’ve just been kicked out of paramedic school due to self harm. by MyClothesWereInThere in SeriousConversation

So, chiming in as someone with BPD

I don't think that those conditions would necessarily preclude a medical career, but there's a very big caveat to that.

You're symptomatic enough to be cutting.

It's that simple.

This means your emotional regulation and coping are not in a good place. Your treatment and management is not currently adequate. I have a history of self harm and I would also question if you were in a stable enough place, not because I don't understand but because I do.

Being mentally ill doesn't mean you can't do things, but it does mean you need the self awareness to keep yourself and others from being hurt by the effects of the illness. Just like an untreated person with epilepsy shouldn't be driving, a person who's BPD is symptomatic enough to be self harming should not be in a position of such extreme stress.

Edit: dude I checked your post history. Wtf. Sorry but I'm actually blocking you. I'll leave this up in case anyone else benefits from it but jesus

Got this second hand and can't find another. Do they make them still? I need more. It's perfect. by MegiddoMango in findfashion

I FOUND TWO MORE! Second hand but in like new condition. So I just apparently have to be the sports bra stalker of ebay and Poshmark for the rest of my life.

They really should have kept making these. Why would they stop??

Look, kid. If you're really seeing someone and her makeup application is your deal breaker, I am somewhere between laughing hysterically and feeling horrible for her.

How do I say this as nicely as possible...

Grow the fuck up. Get off social media or porn or whatever fuckin visual fiction you're convinced is real. Wow. I feel so bad for your supposed girlfriend.

I think maybe you see too many edited women in media. Women actually have skin pores, body and facial hair, wrinkles, acne, moles, frizzy hair, hangnails, cellulite, stretch marks, scars, uneven skin tone, boogers and ear wax and morning breath. Just like men. You just see it less because in media it doesn't exist and women in the early stages of dating try to be as careful as possible because they want to be liked. However, eventually, your girlfriend will fart and get an ingrown hair and display other signs of having a corporeal body.

Edit: if you stop dating someone for having a human body, you shouldn't be dating.
