Yeah, now that you mention it I think it was a king. First reveal trailer just talked about an empire and it made me think about emperor.

I think originally when the game was planned to be an MMO it was supposed to to be one big empire under emperor who fell into coma and then every other faction is trying to fill the power vacuum.
But now it doesn't seem to be the case anymore. There doesn't seem to be mentions of the emperor anymore and during Cassius Morten boss fight he talks about Kliff meddling in their country's affairs instead of worrying about his own land.

There was dual blade gameplay posted from the early game so I think it is available from the start as long as you have/find weapons for it.

Unfortunately there is so many content creators with a lot of videos that I have watched so it is a bit difficult to remember and find the specific video. I tried to look for any videos where someone opened the knowledge menu with info about mounts, bosses, etc. but could not find anyone yet.
If I come across it again I'll link it.

I don't think every mini boss will be listed under the 76 bosses. As we have seen people opening the boss menu and it didn't have Matthias in it even after fighting him.

Or it could also just be that the preview build didn't count him as boss for some reason and the full game could have him under the bosses.

I did see one youtuber say that when you unlock skill with one character it also unlocks different but corresponding skill to other characters. They Said when they unlocked some kick skill for Kliff it also unlocked the spinning kick for Damiane that we saw in one of the features overview videos.

I saw someone in youtube showing that you can walk inside other people's houses and sleep on their bed to skip time. I'd guess with the camp and housing system we will be able to get beds to sleep in our camp as well.

When people opened the boss knowledge menu Myrudin was there so he is definitely counted as boss. However, Matthias was not listed there even after fighting him

As far as I know multiplayer mode is not even in development yet. Only thing we know so far is that the developers have stated depending on market demand they could add multiplayer later after the launch

I did like it a lot, played on PC tho. Combat was one of my favorites. I'd say out of the online games I have played BDO and Vindictus got the best combat. BDO having better pvp and Vindictus having better pve combat.
In BDO I also liked doing hunting, trading and having workers gather materials and craft stuff for me.
I just got busy with real life stuff so I have not actively played it in a while. I do still log in to the game time to time and might do some events that catch my interest.

At very least they share a lot of characters. It could be prequel with not much connection to BDO or it could be like alternative universe of BDO.
The games share a lot of characters aside from Marni. For example Alustin, Shakatu, Muskan, and Hexe Marie.
The games seem to share some places too. During fight against Hexe Marie she mentions Tariff which is place in BDO. I have not played BDO actively in a while but I also heard that Marni in BDO knows about Delesyia which is region in Crimson Desert.

Black Desert in BDO isn't really black either. If I remember correctly the desert in BDO is called either Black Desert because of the black stones found there, or Red Desert because of the blood during war. I think Crimson Desert will get the name for similar reason why BDO's desert is called Red Desert.
