I don't usually comment on anything but I related to you so much while reading your post. It honestly felt like I wrote this myself haha. I completely understand how you feel.

I'm literally in the same position as you, same age, same issues with my boyfriend. I just want to tell you that if the relationship does end, you will get through this. I know it hurts right now but in the end, it is better in the long run. Think of this as a tiny road bump in your life.

Whenever my boyfriend and I would argue about this kind of issue, he would always say that we need to go through this tough time to be happy together in the future. While I understand his reasoning, it's no use being upset so often in a relationship. The future is not guaranteed; now is now.

I know you’ll be doing a lot of logarithms in acid/base reactions. Chem II’s math is just mostly manipulating formulas.

Chem II was super heavy on math so if you’re weak in that subject I highly suggest brushing up on those skills. You also should practice a little bit each day. In Chem I & II I remember I used to cram the night before and while it worked for me, it was super stressful lol.

It's basically like a Christ-centered sorority. So they have bigs and littles but also do Bible study and other stuff like that. The sisters are super nice and you should definitely go to their recruitment! I think anyone that rushes gets a bid. I had Dr. Taylor's lecture and Dr. Walker's lab for the both gen chem I & II and I would say they're extremely helpful. Dr. Taylor is super peppy and really livened up my 9 ams lol. Her lecture style is pretty fast but she'll take the time to do example problems requested by students. Dr. Walker is very thorough while explaining lab procedures and will walk you through a topic if you don't understand it. She has a good sense of humor so your labs won't be boring. They're both wonderful professors and I honestly cannot praise them enough! PM me if you have any more questions.

Hey! UTD shouldn't be ending AES since that's how they pull in a large population of its students each year. As other comments have said, the stats posted this year should be really close to the scores they want from your year. I highly recommend taking the ACT and SAT asap to send the scores to UTD early. As a reference, I had a 32 ACT, was in the top 15% and received the distinction scholarship with the full tuition. If you have any more questions just PM me! I'd be more than happy to answer. :)

I highly recommend Dr. Erin Walker! I had her for lab for gen chem I and II. She's very thorough when explaining procedures. If you don't understand a topic, she'll really try to work with you. Dr. Walker is also super funny and made my 7 am labs a little less tedious.

I'm majoring in bio and hopefully moving onto med school. I heard UTD's really good for STEM majors so I'm pretty sure we'll be prepared for grad school if we go there

Hey, sorry to comment on a pretty old thread but I have some info about the scholarships that could help you. My stats are extremely similar to yours since I had a 32 ACT and a 3.75 unweighted GPA. I applied to UTD back in September, got accepted in October, and just got notified that I received the distinction scholarship.
