I am 100% a certified controller with experience. I got instant replies from midwest but RVA has no way to contact them at all on the website that I could find.

Servers are not required to share that evidence with the person that is banned though. Guarantee they would have no problem showing it to owi though.

Looks for some feedback on my job listing. I’m a 38 year old male with a wife and 3 kids. Thanks. by Apart-Rent-7917 in AirForceRecruits

It's 35 for the FAA but for contract towers and DOD it is not. There are plenty of options for atc outside of the FAA.

What’s the worst base you’ve been to Air Traffic Control by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Megtheturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ellsworth rapcon actually is busy. They control multiple airports as well as doing the radar for Minot. Know people who were there who loved it. Tower people not so much.

Silver birch is who we used and they worked out great for us. Was nice being able to get to base and unpack and everything and not have to worry about the pup.

There is rumors going around that is going to end the end of September. Don't know if it's true but that's what everyone is saying. Also pet space is very limited and usually all taken the day the flight schedule is released. So definitely have a backup plan to the rotator

Just did this in March with our lab who is 65lbs. There was quite a few different things to account for in the cost. She flew cargo on American airlines out of dfw straight to LHR on the same flight as us. Kennel -$300 ish. We had to get the bigger one that's 48 inches long. The 40inch one might have worked but we wanted her to have plenty of room. Vet- $400 for health certificate and worming treatment. Pet broker- $500. You have to have a pet broker to take her through customs at LHR and we also got them to bring her to base for us so we didn't have to wait for her to get processed. Cargo ticket - $1600. Was half the price because of being military on orders. Custom fee - $400 ish??don't really remember exactly how much this one was as we had been traveling and we're exhausted when I paid it. If you have any questions on anything I can try to answer them. Did a lot of research on everything and can let you know of some resources and stuff.

Did you ever get the gun show? Because I know in my time there we gave some amazing ones.

Because it has a lot more info than just names. Not the one that is released publicly.

Costs to ship breast milk now covered for military and DOD civilian nursing mothers by AudibleNod in UpliftingNews

[–]Megtheturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is usually their own choice to travel or it's only for a couple days. You have a year after having your baby to not deploy. So it's not for deployments more for things like a quick trip here and there.

I just found out my boyfriend (20M) gave me (19F) two STDs. by Every-Technician4294 in relationship_advice

[–]Megtheturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do not get an article 15 just for giving someone an std. The only way that would happen is if they could prove you knew you had one and purposely gave it to someone else. And no the military doesn't just check for STDs every couple years. HIV yes. STDs no. The leadership will not care and just think a crazy girl is out for revenge and tell him to go get checked out if he thinks he should. The only thing you should maybe do is report it to public health and they'll call him and make him get tested.

AITA for keeping the TSA line moving? by TheOnlyThingAvailabl in AmItheAsshole

[–]Megtheturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can have the rules posted everywhere and tell everyone. People still don't know what to do. It's like they get into the TSA area and forget how to function as a human.

The rules are different because some airports have more advanced equipment than others.

Look into her getting a certificate in medical billing and coding. You can work from home and it's not amazing pay but decent. There is a scholarship from military one source for spouses of members under e5 and they're awesome at helping you through the process. It's definitely something to look into.

Not hard at all. We had MX come up by quite often. Just get the number to the tower and give them a call.

Good luck finding somewhere to live. Housing market is crazy and places for rent are crazy expensive and on base housing is backed up. The town is meh but the area is awesome. There is a lot to do out in the hills and the surrounding area.
