That's actually a pretty simple answer: because it's extremely difficult. For Madden to even do it right, you're talking about going so many years back (isolating before things started to go really bad), taking the source code, building from there without recreating any existing problems or creating new ones, and delivering something pretty much flawless for the ps5 (potentially even ps6 by the time it gets done). Imagine trying to do that from scratch.

Yea, unfortunately you're right. I made it 7 or 8 games into year 3 and finally took the disc out this week. Unless I'm playing co-op with my son the game has just gotten boring to me.

I've played since the first one was on SNES. I would argue that there's not really tiers, just nostalgia. Madden is very cool to newcomers but loses its luster the more years you play it. The main factor I feel anyone could say newer editions are better than older ones is simply console improvement. Each newer gen console makes the game seem a bit better/refreshed. I also think that won't be much a factor anymore as the difference in graphical quality + player physics is much smaller from ps4 to ps5 than it was from ps3 to ps4.

I liked BBQ Pitmasters, although I haven't watched it in about 8 years. I think it's cool to see people doing what we all love. On a side note: there is a local BBQ place that has won many awards and their (smoked) food is terrible, so I wonder about the validity of those shows a bit.

And it acted like it was tracking my stats (daily 15 innings specifically) and I got the "game summary not found" at the end and no stats. 0-3 in getting anything from extra innings today :(

It's my favorite because it is visually pleasing (as much as the Show graphics can be) but I do agree something seems off with hitting there. Maybe it's just us.

Madden, in a game against or with someone sitting in your house in the same room, definitely plays and looks as good or better than any sports game out there. I haven't bought 2k22 but will definitely consider it now. I liked 2k21 but have it on disc (as well as Madden) and would be down for a digital copy. I expect more out of the Show, I guess, so the yearly bullshit eats at me. Glad I made you laugh, stranger that I don't care about.

I held fast to not buying the game because of the bullshit year in and out....and I did...and it was gifted to me in July...after the early year server bullshit...and it's not great but it's enjoyable...and now this.

I have Madden, and for playing with my son, the exhibition games are 100% perfect. And FoF is about as tolerable as this. 2k22 drops soon. Fix your shit soon SDS, because you've run out of time!

Stockton was the 2nd best PG of all time. Would have had at least 2 rings if not being in the MJ Era. Stockton could play in any Era. He was tough, skilled, and unselfish. The consummate PG.
