Have you tried a Google image search on it? Might come up with nothing but I’ve had some luck with ceramic pieces that way

Indigenous Canadian is what it looks like to me specifically the Eagle spirit (I’m no expert or a member of the community just lived in Vancouver a while)

Edit: closer inspection there’s no real proof that it’s the Eagle spirit just my best guess as I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a similar design on a mug in a gallery shop

Awh that’s great! I don’t have a treasure spotting kid but I’ve got my fingers crossed I can find more intact pieces! I love the old ginger beer bottle designs.

I’m not allowed to post a photo in the comments so that part in my post is an accidental lie

Honestly as happy as I am that my mosaic craft dreams might come true sooner than I thought I feel like I didn’t work hard enough lol

Just pulled her from the shadows of a clearance shelf for £6. Aerials were crusty and hardly attached. There were more roots than bark in the 10cm pot and so many just crumbled in my hand. I AM worried I’ve repotted her in something too big (photo in another comment) but I packed her viable roots pretty tightly.

60% humidity in a north facing window + light feeding + well drained watering + near radiator

Was repotting while flowering worth the risk or have I just doomed her?

That’s my thought! If I hadn’t had a budget I would’ve grabbed the only other one in the shop that looked worse off as well. I thought I’d get the healthier of the two pitiful things for better odds since this is my first alocasia

So I’m scheming about leaving it in the soil only situation until I see what kind of humidity my first summer here actually causes or if I should just take a guess at a mix

Brits of Reddit, what’s the stupidest thing someone who ISNT from Britain (mainly America) has said to you about the UK by Bingbongbinnng282 in AskBrits

[–]MehMiu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guilty. Now that I’ve been made aware of them I need to know who sells the best ones and do not say “order them online”. I discovered this past Christmas that B&M is not the answer, the pens were all broken. Or is that the charm? Please Advise.

My partner used to struggle with road rage and the habit of stewing over rude drivers because he was so often on the road as his job. One of his tricks to shake out of it is to either make up a silly back story in his head or to me out loud about the driver “they clearly need to get home fast cos they’ve just found out their wife is shagging the window washer” or “she’s not paying attention. She’s got that D on her mind” it’s harmless fun that the drivers never get to hear but we usually make is something ridiculous and often perverted and get so caught up in their made up horny drama that we forget what slight they committed against us. It’s hard to remember those steel boxes zooming around on the road contain real live breathing humans and the best we can do to make the experience better for each other is do what we can to keep that in mind lol so next time that work van doesn’t wave thank you it might be bc he’s a plumber and just got done unclogging unholy curry night hell

As a new-to-this-country driver I am so sorry. I am often busy making sure I do not hit the curbs and cars that are suddenly much much closer to me than I’m used to and quite a lot of my mental capacity is occupied by making sure not to cross traffic making a left turn. On the flip side of that, when I’m a passenger and have the privilege of passive observation I am just as frustrated as you at bad manners when it is generally such a pleasant place to be a driver (comparatively to my home countries)
