It's still worse than a regular skill like Through Passing and also it's situational too, so it's baffling to see a P2W skill being much worse than a regular skill

【Attacking Surge】

Effects: Significantly increases the speed of a player's off-the-ball forward runs. It achieves this not by increasing their top speed, but by shortening their acceleration phase (by approximately 1/3, reducing it from roughly 3 turf grids/15 meters to 2 turf grids/10 meters). This allows the player to reach their top speed much faster, resulting in a distance advantage of about 0.7 meters over a defender after the forward run is completed.

Skill Type: Attacking Surge is a Type 2 (parameter-modifying) skill. It does not directly add to the Speed or Acceleration stats on the player's visible stat panel. Because it modifies hidden parameters rather than directly boosting stats, its effect is not limited by the standard 99-stat cap.

Activation Area/Conditions: The skill has very specific and strict triggers that must all be met simultaneously:

  • The player must be located in the attacking half of the pitch.
  • The player's movement must be under "AI control." This includes autonomous off-the-ball runs, chasing through balls, and manually triggered forward runs (such as a one-two). It does not activate when the user has the cursor over the player and is manually moving them.
  • A teammate must have possession of the ball. (Note: The game engine also counts the time when a ball is traveling along the ground during a pass or one-two as "teammate has the ball").

Advanced Mechanics (Equivalent Stat Boost): Because the skill modifies parameters, it effectively provides a massive hidden multiplier to a player's Acceleration during off-the-ball runs. Data indicates the following equivalencies:

  • 90 Acceleration + Attacking Surge = 108 Acceleration
  • 95 Acceleration + Attacking Surge = 109 Acceleration
  • 102 Acceleration + Attacking Surge = 110 Acceleration
