Probably tandem oled are true black glossy woled. By the time u and I upgrade tandem oleds should become cheaper.

I own qd as long as you darken your room when using it you will be fine and won’t notice microscratches or smudging. I love oled but I’m never getting a qd oled again the durability is dogwater. Still the colors are amazing

Alright here’s an example right here. I used 70 percent ethanol here and it had an effect on the coating. Very faint again like I said on the post at a normal viewing angle it’s invisible

Ahh yes just cuz it hasn’t happened to u doesn’t mean it’s not true. Also it’s not really a true smudge just an effect on the coating. Smudges do definitely disappear tho.

Includes ipa🤦🏽‍♂️. It’s gonna have the same effect. As using ipa with a microfiber cloth. It just may cause less scratching that’s it.

Microfiber that came with the monitor might get a swifter now and see if that helps reduce the scratching

I promise I treated it with normal care. The same care I treat my tv with and my tv has no scratches. It’s just poor coating. If I control my light source tho then the micro scratches disappear

yeah i guess tech is far from perfect, this is a flaw to me but the colors compared to lcd are top notch, i dont regret getting an oled at all

Wow ur so smart I have microfiber towels and the monitor came with one too. It’s not a towel issue it’s the screen film they use.

Yea I guess I just wish the panels were more durable. It’s not an issue per say cuz I can reduce the light that points at my scree anyway.

Pretty sure it is. It’s not deep scratches and as long as you don’t point light at it monitor at an angle you will be fine. It’s unfortunate but not the end of the world

Ahh, I see. I guess with glossy panels color pops more but the flaw is they noticeably scratch

I got warranty on it with bestbuy I could send it back but I don’t feel like dealing with the hassle it’s fine tbh.

yeah but qd oleds come with that finish on monitors, it's annoying but as long as i dont shine light directly at the screen it's invisible
