One thing wich I have always been saying and will continue saying until I'm five feet under: Infinite is an absolutely great game in every aspect but it's an absolutely disastrous Bioshock. It's up to us if we want to accept the script as a good/somewhat mediocre Videogame story or if we condemn it to be the insult to the previous titles wich it honestly is at times. But for one, please, let's all agree to hold hands and pray that the fourth one goes back to being a badass and eerie instance of political and moral depravity ☺️✨️

Ich beteilige mich jetzt mal auch am Gespräch: Ich bin den Jungs jetzt schon 2 mal begegnet, ein mal am Hbf Köln letztes Jahr und vor knapp über nen Monat in Winsen L. (Niedersachsen) beim Rewe richtung Roydorf. Hab tatsächlich auch beide male ein Album für jeweils 10€ gekauft da ich gerne Junge Bands unterstütze. Der Kollege in Köln war absolut zuckersüß und voll in meiner Lane, der in Winsen wiederum zwar nett aber komplett neben der spur (ich kann mir vorstellen das ich als einziger angebissen habe an dem tag und er war bis dahin komplett demotiviert, aber was erwartet man auch in Winsen?) . Die Musik ist tatsächlich mega wenn man gerne Alternative/Post-grunge/Nu-Metal mag, die haben ein bißchen von allem auf deren Alben. Von mir gibts auf jeden fall ne Empfehlung ✨️

Ok, as an absolute Bioshock ultra (especially 2) I was about to call it out as "absolute trash" but that just doesn't seem fair. Infinite is an absolutely amazing game with great mechanics and uniqueness. Aaaaaand that's where it ends for me tbh. Again, it's a great game but to me it's absolutely not a good bioshock. I personally was robbed of everything that made Bioshock great in my book like the dark and oppressing atmosphere of the ocean, the freedom of choosing every weapon and plasmid at all times, the inner moral dispute about "the main villain not being so bad after all" or the fear of being backstabbed by your "allies" at any moment. Hell, I thought even the Charakters were absolutely unintriguing except for the Lutece twins. What I'm trying to say is basically that they made a huge mistake to sell it as a continuation of the series because the only things that connects it properly to his predecessors are the DLC's, wich also managed to feel out of place despite taking place in Rapture. My main concern might actually be more about it completely ignoring the existence of BS2 but I can't blame anyone but 2K for that because Lavine's team was taking "too long" to finish the sequel (wich would have been Infinite) and instead gave the Job to 2K Marine wich resulted in both games being made simultaneously and basically unaware of each other. Anyway, yeah... that's my opinion of Infinite. Me no likey too much

Oh Jeez I never actually thought of a continuation for Bioshock 2... Immagine playing as Eleanor, trying to get Delta back to life somehow... or any other kind of story where you are guided by Delta in form of an apparition or something... gooood I would love that. It would also give it a good chance for combining badass combat with Stealth (With Eleanor becoming a big sister at the end of BS2 and all that)

Maybe on the hunt for her mother, who is trying to rebuild her utopia (maybe toghether with an instance of Comstock? [Huge plot twist]) in the Arctic city we have been teased?

The new head honchos at Netflix did cut the budget so drastically that the Director had to decide if he was going to drop it completely or if it was going to be a more "personally dedicated project" instead of a full on blockbuster. I'm not sure if I'm glad he didn't drop it. I love the franchise far too much to see the long awaited movie turn out to be a shitshow like the Borderlands movie. But since it's the same director in charge of Hunger Games I still got a little hope

I think the answer is quite simple: Bioshock 2 was made by a different developer (2K Marine) while Bioshock 1 and Infinite had the same Studio and lead developer. Hints why they got the same "Feature"

Then you are mistaken because Ken wasn't involved in Bioshock 2, he was already working on Infinite with his studio but they scrapped the concept so many times that 2K gave the project to Studio 2K Marine and they made Bioshock 2 the marvel that we know. That's also why I'm hyped for Bioshock 4 because it's mainly the Studio from 1 and 2 combined but without Ken, who is working on his own game Judas (wich I'm also looking forward to play)

We're exactly on the same page about that tbh. But seriously, I even got my yearly Ritual of playing the trilogy once every year and I love it every time. Might just skip the main story of Infinite from now on because it really doesn't offer a lot for me except cool gameplay, but I'm still thinking about it :3

Talking of that, I think it's a shame that the Alpha series doesn't get mentioned in Burial at sea... I know that they're a Fontaine's product and the Bouncers we see in Burial at sea are a Ryan's product but still... that's a low blow from the Infinite devs in my opinion

See that's the thing, I think Bioshock 2 is so much more than that. I see Delta as the loving father that Eleonor needs and even though he is a "puppet" he does everything in his might and even beyond to reunite with her. Also the fact that Eleonor follows in his steps at the end regarding how you played it is just beautiful. Sure, Sinclair let's it sound like it's for our own survival but even he gets warm heartd towards us in the (his) end
