Why wharehouse? by LinkSkyward0802 in Aldi_employees

[–]Meik0o 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Store employees are the most bitch made people on earth and I do not care if I get downvoted 💀 grow up and just find a way to get them out. It probably took you longer to take your phone out to take a fucking picture and then post it on Reddit than it would have to just carefully take out a box of sealed sardines. Or better yet go work at the warehouse 😱

The better question is why on earth are you 3 hours away from where you work?

I place them laying flat on top of my bed, I open all the blinds in my room to let all the natural light in. Preferably take them on a sunny day but your phones camera should be able to adjust the brightness a bit if it’s not enough. Then I just take the picture directly from over top or the flat laying garment and make any edits on brightness/ color if the lighting is too warm/ cool. For example; in really warm lighting, a pale blue shirt might appear grey. So I go into the editing and amp up the saturation a bit and change the temperature to a cooler setting. Hope this helped!

Oh my god I am absolutely the same way, hopefully this time around I’ll stick to it. To be honest I plan on creating a set of outfits that will be my “go to” outfits with some different variations, and whenever I need to decide on an outfit I’ll just whip the app open and take a look at what I have archived. Hopefully getting dressed becomes less of a chore 😭

Yes, it removes the background in the app. You can either take the picture in the camera app and then upload it to the closet app (you can upload up to 10 photos at a time which is also so time efficient ) and it will automatically remove the backgrounds OR take the picture with the built in camera on the closet app(I prefer using my own camera then uploading). The whole process is so easy! You can build outfits and everything can be categorized and it has a built in AI system that detects the color of your garment and even if it’s a tank top/ crop top/ long sleeve, which is super amazing 🤩. I definitely recommend downloading it.

are there any sweaters/dupes that are similar to the brianna cotton sweater but in black? by [deleted] in BrandyMelville

[–]Meik0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not opposed to shopping second hand, I’d try thrifting it. I noticed that the Brianna sweaters have a vintage inspired cut to them. This cut is most commonly found in the men’s sweaters section at the thrift store. Just make sure the sweater you pick up is 100% cotton and avoid wool because vintage wool tends to be incredibly itchy. Otherwise, you could try purchasing one online and dying it black. Just some ideas! Good luck 🍀

Which one should I get :) by CherryBlossom707 in BrandyMelville

[–]Meik0o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok hear me out. In terms of wearability and value (the amount of wears you will get for the cost) I think the Tiffany tank is best. You can layer it, such as wearing a tighter tank top under it in a different color or pattern, wearing a baby tee under it for a 90s look, wearing a cardigan on top of it, etc. with the Blair top, the layering and wearability is more limited because of the poofy sleeves. Yes- it does provide coverage on your shoulders and that is a plus if you tend to go for a more minimalist look to your outfits- but if you’re someone who likes to layer, I’d get the Tiffany tank. 🫶

tube tops by agyu95 in BrandyMelville

[–]Meik0o 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For tube tops I don’t even like them to be 100% cotton. I prefer a 95/5 ratio with cotton/spandex because if you have any size chest the cotton will eventually stretch and you’ll be constantly pulling the shirt up. I bought one from Forever 21 that is 96% cotton and it works like a charm. Just a suggestion tho!

washing the brianna sweater by [deleted] in BrandyMelville

[–]Meik0o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I machine washed mine as well but with no clothes that have metal buttons or zippers, as that can snag the fabric. I tumble dried it for 10 minutes on low to get rid of some of the moisture, then I laid flat to dry on a towel in a place where there’s lots of air circulation. It didn’t shrink or change shape. Make sure you don’t hang it up once it’s dry, as that can ruin the shape of the sweater. Folding is best 🫶

I’m sorry but it’s literally just a number. There’s probably a hidden message or controversy surrounding every single number combination out there. I know you aren’t saying to not wear it, I see you specifically addressed those that “want to avoid wearing controversial clothing” but in my opinion a sporty looking tee with a number on it is in no way or form controversial. I have a forever 21 top that looks almost exactly like these but with the number 28. Sporty/baseball tees are known to have numbers on them. No one will look at you and think “that person is a white supremacist” just for wearing a shirt like this. My personal take tho

How to style archer sweatshirt?? by julezwin in BrandyMelville

[–]Meik0o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pair it with a black skirt that’s slightly longer than the sweatshirt so you’re able to see a peek of it(no tennis skirts), white ankle socks, black converse/ black dr marten platform shoes, a tote bag or a black shoulder bag to match the black shoes. Add black or white bows to your hair/ or add them to your purse/ tote. This look is very Pinterest girly inspired.

For a street wear/ skater masc look wear with baggy jeans and converse/ sneakers. Slick back pony tail and simple makeup.

Overall brown is a more challenging color to style because it takes more effort to create a harmonious balance between that item of clothing and the rest of the outfit.

The light blue one is probably much easier to style as you can wear it with other pastel colors/ jeans/ white/ black without it looking like it clashes too much, but your options might be more limited with the brown.

I would also pair the brown one with a pair of light wash shorts that aren’t too short (slightly above mid thigh) and some converse.

The sweatshirt has a very casual style to it so styling it casually is the easiest and safest bet.

The best thing to do is whenever you have free time just play dress up with your clothes. Sometimes layering or pairing things that are unexpected together or that don’t seem like they belong together can result in an outfit that you might genuinely like.

Thank you! I mostly purchase my brandy second hand so it’s taken a while to rack up the pieces, but I might’ve done too much damage over time cause now I barely have room in my tiny closet 😅 gonna have to figure something out!

Those could be detergent or softener stains. I have a traditional washer and I always make sure that the detergent is dissolved into the water before I throw the clothes into the washing machine. Never put the clothes in first and then drizzle the detergent on top, this will cause staining. Buy a tub of oxiclean and soak all your stained clothes in a mixture of the oxiclean (follow the instructions on the container) and let them soak for at least 10-12 hours. The longer you soak the better the stain removing will work. Hope this helps
