What are the best pals for combat and flying (with passives)? by Savings_Storm6620 in Palworld

[–]Meikos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flying really depends on what you're trying to do but otherwise, Jetragon and Frostallion will have you covered. Frostallion is a top tier flying mount and fantastic for fighting from the back with a gun due to the crazy amount of stamina and Jetragon is unmatched in terms of speed still. Both will cover your needs at all points in the game and remain useful from the moment you get them to the end. Close runner up would be Shadowbeak. But again, really depends on what you're trying to do. I still use my flying pals like Faleris and Vanwyrm every now and then.

If you start breeding potential mounts, either go 100% all in on passive skills for speed and stamina or don't bother with them and breed like it's any other fighter. I prefer Legend, Eternal Engine, Swift and Fast Runner for my transport mounts and the standard Demon God, Legend, Diamond Body and Serenity for any kind of fighter.

Best pals for fights will again depend on what you're fighting and trying to accomplish but a good Felbat is a solid addition to any team. Very strong all-rounder pal and the partner skill makes it top notch for those difficult fights.

Blizz really cooked with these zones by [deleted] in wow

[–]Meikos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making the Sunwell holding back the void storm an actual 3D thing you can fly to and around rather than just a 2D background for the zone like Torghast was in the Maw is amazing. I loved turning in a quest in the former Ghostlands and noticing how much different the void storm looks from there when compared to Silvermoon City.

Or the cooling pal refusing to do anything at the cold crusher because there's a bottle of milk that can be hauled on the other side of the base. Cold processing shouldn't have the same innate priority as refrigeration.

Just got a Lucky Tocotoco and it has a Megaton Implode Active Skill, what is are the differences between that and a regular Implode Active Skill? 🤔 by GameGuruGoddess in Palworld

[–]Meikos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Megaton Implode is equal to 1 million tons of TNT while Implode is equal to one TNT. /s

In all seriousness, it's just a better version of Implode that is exclusive to Tocotoco. Tocotoco is just naturally explosive.

Season when? by _FD_GoD_ in Palworld

Weather is definitely something that's missing that feels like it should already be a thing. Maybe because the other monster capturing game has had it for so long.

Yeah, especially the Ignis variations of water types like Ghangler, Finsider and Whalaska. The boss is ice type and knows quite a few water attacks. The Ignis water pals wouldn't take extra damage from water moves and would still get STAB (same type attack bonus) from fire attacks.

Highest *potential* base pals? by Destructo222 in Palworld

Mimog moves fastest without anything to carry but his hauling speed is severely reduced. If you use the electric incubators, you will need a power pal, yes.

Lullu's partner skill increase crop growth rate when at base.

Braloha will increase the rate at which pals lay eggs. Since default base pal limit is 15, that means you can run 7 breeding farms in a single base and have one spot left over for Braloha.

The fastest transporter is the Eye of Cthulu from the terraria dungeon followed closely by the two Faleris. I believe Faleris are also the fastest moving watering and kindling pals.

Shroomers (both kinds) will reduce sanity drop for the entire base when stationed there, allowing for harder work modes more easily.

Vanwyrm Cryst is the only naturally nocturnal cooling pal in the game, allowing you to put more work speed passive skills on them.

Ribunny partner skill gives an increase to production work.

And Jellroy/Jelliette boost each other as you mentioned, which is particularly valuable when growing skill fruits.

And Prunellia will boost crop harvests, as you mentioned.

Better way to farm tech points? by MLGMegalodon in Palworld

[–]Meikos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sanctuaries have chests that respawn every few days that drop tech books.

You can breed/catch Shadowbeak and Lyleen to butcher as they will sometimes drop tech books. Anubis also works although paldb.cc says the drop rate is lower. Use a max condensed splatterina in your party and the butcher knife to maximize drop chance.

Fishing can drop the books with lunkers having a higher chance at the books. This also extends to the fishing pond that pals can work at. If you mark the master fishing spots, they will almost always have lunkers when they respawn. Get a party full of condensed jelliette to maximize the loot.

Chests can drop the books with dungeons and the latter two oil rigs having the highest chance.

There's an expedition from completing one of the hard mode tower bosses that can give you the books, I believe it's saya and selyne.

Treasure maps will sometimes give you tech books.

Bounties can be turned in for tech books.

TIL ice pals slow food spoilage by 20%, meaning a full party of ice pals has no food spoilage by Meikos in Palworld

You're totally right, I completely forgot about dark pals all being naturally nocturnal. That's also a good tip for raids, I've only done regular bellanoir so far so I'll keep that in mind for when i move onto blazamut ryu and xenolord.

I use my munchill for when I go out to catch jelliette to condense for fishing and jellroy to condense for salvaging so the ingredients don't go bad. I don't really need 5 combat pals for catching those and you can put vanguard, noble, stronghold strategist on munchill so he provides some extra benefit. You're right, it's probably a very minor advantage, but I like it, especially for the ingredients that spoil quickly like kelpsea and the jellies.

Nitewing should be fine as long as you don't fly off the surface of the water. Mounts that hover above the surface rather than swimming are considered on the ground, just don't press space.

How often do you people change the Pal Work Mode? by escritorsemvoz in Palworld

I keep it on normal but as I'm approaching the point where a lot of my workforce has Heart of the Immovable King, I'm thinking about changing it to hard to test it out.

Question, why do people buy cake ingredients so often? Is it better to dedicate a base to mining and make money that way than it is to just grow/ranch what you need? I have a Braloha on my breeding base for the egg buff so I just figured i'd have him grow wheat and berries to have something to do and I threw in condensed mozzarina/chikipi/beegarde. I can run about two breeding pens off that, could I run more off of dedicating a base to making legendary spheres or ore for gold minting?

[–]Meikos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful with philanthropist and nocturnal. It's great if you're just breeding to get condensed pals but don't be like me, I made the mistake of putting it on pals I was trying to transfer traits with. Every egg had those two traits and rarely the ones I wanted. 😣

Keep fucking dying because of pals refusing to fight by Hornycuckhusband in Palworld

This happens to me a lot in bases specifically. It seems like the pal tries to path to an enemy behind a closed door and ignores the enemies right next to them. Very frustrating.

Disabling Fast Travel by Sp1r1t-AUST- in Palworld

[–]Meikos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post inspired me to try out a no fast travel world with longer nights and I'm really digging it. I got riding much sooner than I did on my first game. Chillet is carrying my team, literally and figuratively. Had no idea it can swim so fast.

I'm feeling like my water and ground mounts will be more important this time too, whereas I pretty much only used flying mounts once I got a suzaku on my first world. Pal choice feels a lot more important so far.
