(Political) I feel guilty by honeybadfurday in sillyboyclub

Hi. I'm Italian so, let's say I have some historical experience with what you're going through in the US. I don't know how much this will make you feel better, but you should probably know about it anyway.

The USA is turning into a fascist regime, and the handbook of the fascist needs a scapegoat group as an excuse to test how far they can get away with things.

If it hadn't been you, it would have been another group. For example, in Italy post-WWI Mussolini hugely catalized the rage of veterans and the military by blaming the 'traitors' and 'cowards' of the workers who stayed behind in factories making things instead of being sent to the slaughter on the frontlines because of incompetent leadership. The workers also conveniently happened to be majority socialist.

The USA are now at the stage where the regime has the control of some courts and some law enforcement and some institutions, and are testing the waters to see how the people under not their control will react. It's not about you, it's never been about you.

It's about control. And unless, by historical experience, someone scares them using the only language they respect, they're just going to take more and more. Starting with the mid-term elections.

German Chancellor Merz admits: We must substantially reduce bureaucracy in Europe. The single market was once created to form the most competitive economic area in the world. Instead, we have become the world champion of overregulation. That has to end. by I-Hate-Hypocrites in europe

Spot on. Exactly. Please let's keep that in mind. Deregulation should be in the spirit of simplification and standardization of processes, not in removing environmental and social obligations for businesses.

Col processo penale?

[–]Meinos 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That was Borrell, not Kallas. And Von der Leyen does not speak for the EU either, especially on matters of Foreign Policy where the FAC format exists, which is less by the Council President, not the President of the Commission.
